After a custom made bat and not sure who to use out of these 3. Any help and suggestions.
-
Wow
Even to ask that question is something
I have a Nv g1 and it's a rocket, three of my team mates asked to use it last season and it goes big time,
Never used affinity but heard very good things, most love the toro bat they used to do,
As for grays ask a supplier, vitas, itsjustcricket or Asad and they'll give you more info.
But I do love my h4l

Are these 3 brands you've narrowed your search down to as there are loads of manufactures on here that can make a custom bat for you, B3, Red Ink, Blank Bats, Aldred, Ryan Kelsall etc
B3 give you the option to customise every part of the bat design, weight, handle, cleft and it won't cost an arm and a leg if you go for the lower grade willow.

Yes these are the 3 brands I have narrowed down to.

£100 bat and £300 on coaching?
You would be more likely score more runs...

Aldred better than affinity and h4l for me and still some spare for coaching as mentioned.
-
Mind you the 110 pound f18 gn from Vitas would definitely be a good off the shelf solution, if gray nics is what your after.
-
Out of these three, Affiniti are decent bat but can't really offer the full workshop experience.
GN are pretty expensive but if included a trip to Australia and have Stuart Kranzbuhler make my bat then it would get my vote ;)
But as there is no trip to Aus included, and as the H4L bats I have are fantastic, this is a no-brainer!

Two of the best bats I've ever owned have been from GN through Asad at Uzi and Matt at H4L respectively so you won't go far wrong with either of those. It all depends what you're looking for. For me my GN edges it because it truly was a ridiculous piece of willow and i was just lucky that time around to get something that was huge and light. If you're spending £400 it depends what you're looking for from the bat exactly and who would best fit those requirements. Surprised you're not considering B3 if you're spending that much and with the level of customer care they offer when you purchase. But I would echo Buzz's thoughts. So if you're loaded get one of these and still go and spend the money on coaching as well! I've had some over the winter for the first time since I was at school and it's made a huge difference. Then again you may be a superb player and not need it.

This sounds like a man without a H4L custom...
Do we all need to start chanting "Do it, do it, do it"...?

lol... but, once you are on CBF and watch all the bat porn ...one just can't resist the temptation :)

You can if you're broke hahaha :D

Can you visit any of them?
-
For me this is close between Matt and Marcus. I've had some immense bats off both of them, toss a coin between H4L & Affinity! You really can't go wrong

This forum is slacking - encouraging him to buy only one bat! we all know you need all 3! one won't do!

interestingly I don't see any buzz around Affinity cricket on CBF.

Because there not a sponsor.

I have had a custom gn made from a legend cleft which was very good indeed and four or five affinity bats all was very good but none seem on par with my new h4l custom both of mine are guns and really look forward to the weekend to go out and use them :)

If you're not able to visit any of the aforementioned brands:
If selecting H4L or GN why not speak to Jake or Asad or VKS and sort out a lovely off-the-shelf bat to your spec, without paying the premium for a custom. As an aside, a guy in my work team had a LH Supernova 4 star ordered for him by Elmer Cotton in Oxford. It has a few blemishes, but it is a lovely stick, great shape, more than suitable for us earnest clubbies. (Also, 'custom' GNs are stock shapes made in UK - don't know about Aus.)
I think Affinity had some pre-made bats for sale at really competitive prices.

You can visit H4l by appointment, but with no problem. GN you can visit, but it costs the best part of £1000. Affinity from my experience is very reluctant to receive visitors, though maybe that was just me. All are good bats. Of the bats I have that are custom made, the performance would rate as follows:
1. Aldred
2. Charlie French
3. Bradbury
4. B3
5. H4L
6. Affinity (pick ups and balance the weakness, ping very good.
7. Robert Pack
8. Laver & Wood
9. Woodstock
Off the rack bats are another list for another thread.
