Title: Slagenzer
Post by: Mr Cricket on January 04, 2010, 01:48:52 PM
The slazenger lids as used by Collingwood, Prior etc seem to be a dead rip off of the Masuri, copied 100% anyone know why Masuri havent taken this to court for copyright infringment or whatever?

I dont know, its a good point- maybe because Masuri havent patented their style of helmet, making the design free for all companies to use?

Yeah i think the masuri grill might have a little better vision than th ayrtek one not sure though.

yeah i think the ayrtek grille's holes for positioning are more similar to the albions than the masuri's. masuri allows for a huge gap where as ayrtek lets nothing bigger than a balls width.

It depends whether you are looking for safety or vision.

its so unlikely for the ball to go thru the masuri grille-peak gap tho

If you have it wide enough then there is still a small chance it will.

yeah at 150 mph maybe lol, if you know theres nothing you can do and its coming towards your face human nature is to turn away even at speeds up to 95 mph as is humanly possible to bowl

I got hit directly on the top of the grille using my Albion, glad I had it close enough to the peak

Masuri is made by Masuri, Chase was sold off and even though they have the same website they are not connected.

This happened to me! I had my masuri set on the narrowest closest setting yet a top edged cut still managed to sneak through, i was keeping at the time, a day in the hospital with a cracked cheek bone!
