new sponsors for swanny!
-
oops i just made one too, admin delete mine :D
-
i am surprised mongoose didn't try to bag him, considering him and anderson are such good friends, and swann has used the pads before
-
Probs way out of their budget, especially with taking Jimbob on. His price properly went up (I'm only guessing) since he's now an English Hero!
-
Kookaburra should buy an England International Player (some one more marketable than Luke Wright)
-
Or they just weren't interested in another lower order batsman...
-
So which higher order batsmen have you got lined up next?
-
oh my god, i swear i can see in to the future! yesterday i was thinking about swann changing bat sponsor soon, and here he is!!
-
Something about Swann and the GM helmet just isnt right :/
-

Would be foolish to publish it as their price would increase, when a big name player is signed you'll hear about it.
-
Fair enough, i hope these sponsored players are equalling out to increased sales.
-
Which GM Bat is he using?

Already have Morgan and Shah? They're an Aussie company, hence why half their team use Kook.
-
founded by an englishman!

I meant test. GN + GM are English and Adidas are German but half the Pak Team use thier bats
-
umar akmal following in his bros foot steps using gm now to
-
Would the signing of Swann make you buy a GM?
Surely the signing of bowlers to promote bats is pointless, if you cannot afford a batsman then you must be pretty damn skint, Carberry is on a basic retainer of £3k with Kookaburra and would appear to be next in line for England. Anyone spending more must be a mug or being mugged. Swann no doubt is riding the wave and good luck to him but GM spend many times more each year on sponsorship than they make in profit, how long will it last?
-
Wow Jimmy A is quite a lot more than Carberry
-
I agree with Talisman, To sponser a bowler to use your bats large sums wont add up in the long run, I spose it will give you exposure for the short term period, But over the long run will a bowler who scores 20 runs with your bat sell 50 bats, Or will a batsmen who scores tons sale that bat for you?
-
gray-nicolls seem to to be losing a few players laterly , now swann i also think rob key and joe denly -both to kookaburra as of jan 1st
-
swanny can bat, and has opened the batting for notts in pro40 and one day competitions
-
I'd love to tell you what Rob Key thinks of GN bat's, H4L knows the story. No surprise there and they can continue getting the same bats as they do now with new stickers.
Swann can bat so not a bad choice after all the batsmen are taken into consideration.
-
rob key not like the kit? do tell, talisman....

Please tell Talisman!

I'm not sure Mike will reveal any further details as Gn get touchy when people start knocking the kit and you have to be careful what you say unless you have concrete proof which would stand up in court.
-
If I could say then I would but as he was under contract best leave it there, he was not the biggest fan I hear.
Anyway, the point is that players are not always mega bucks.

Ok ill leave it there.

Kookaburra don't sign players in their prime, they take gambles on players on the England squad fringes. Hence why we see Shah, Carberry, Luke Wright, Steven Davies and James Taylor all Kookaburra'd up. Gamble hasn't paid off for the last couple of years (in way of England players using them) however they will surely have someone using it soon.
A county pro is significantly less than an England player, some of the top county players are on kit only.

players like Tim Ambrose sum that one up for you Tom i think
