Has anyone used/has/had Symonds Tusker XL bat?
Any reviews?

Not since about 1980.

Affinity made one for Gordon Greenidge last year

My dad had one of these back in the day, some odd curves but went well

John at Red Ink made one for @avkrish in this thread here - http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=35674.0 (http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=35674.0)
I'm just saving up the pennies for one exactly the same!!!

I was at Lords in 1994 when GG hit us all over London. He either got 180 sommat or a double ton after we declared(!). I'm sure he used the tusker bat and to this day ive not seen a square cut hit harder.
GG was also speaker at our league dinner last year, nice fella.

^ he absolutely larraped a double ton and they won with something like 344-1 after Gower declared.
I saw GG play at Lord's in a charity game in the late 80s - I've never to this day seen anyone hit harder. Live, anyway.

Symonds Tusker reminded me of my childhood.. I remember having difficulty picking these up. Quite heavy for me at that time...Symonds used to be the bat at that time at least where I played.

Same around my way. I had a Tusker. Absolutely loved it, but it was heavy. Lad I played with had a Super Tusker - which felt a few lbs heavier again!
