That is one of the best positions a bowler could want a batsmen to be in tho. But must have hurt and shame about it ending his carrer aswell.
-
Idiot who sent the ball down must have felt really bad! It was a bowling machine so why wasnt he looking to see if he was ready!
-
Exactly i bet fulton felt like giving him a propa throttling i know i wud have!
-
I'm sure he played after this? anyway surely the feeder could see he wasn't ready. Oh yea nice language Fully. ;)
-
he was only out for two months btw
-
Im sure in an interview i read he said this is why he retired
-
I think it was the reason he retired but he played on before deciding he couldn't continue.
-
He was out for more than two months, in fact he was blind in one eye for six, so where you got the idea of only two months beats me.

Says 8 weeks, which works out at 2 months.

Yeah, just read that, was about to post that link, apologies.

Ouch, that's nasty
Doesn't this show the poor quality of helmets, even today. All the technology available, and players are still being injured?
-
Well, it doesn't help that he couldn't see the ball! Helmets are only there as primary protection, they can't be guarenteed to protect from all impacts, and if he'd seen it coming this wouldn't have happened. This was in 2003 though wasn't it, and helmets have improved since then.
-
Maxxed im sure hemets are being made to stop things like this with the visor but people choose not to wear them so not a helmet fault!
