Title: Gray Nicolls gloves won from competition!

So Gray Nicolls had a little competition on Saturday on Twitter in which any batsman who scored 150+ was able to claim a prize, luckily I was able to score 154 and was able to claim the prize!! Just received these beauties: Gray Nicolls Maverick F1 Elite Gloves - Player Editions(Gold) which are a little different from the black versions I have seen in photos etc.

Not sure if they still do it, but a few years back grays would send the highest scoring pro for that month a set of gold gloves to wear.

I'd presume these are a set left over from said time. A cracking edition to your bag and a generous offer from Grays.


I bought the black ones @wayward_hayward won a few months back and there a phenomenal glove.
According to grays they may have been for Peter Trego..... The protection and flexibility seems better than a standard set off the same gloves I once had.

Something I never knew they done with their pros! I have also noticed that Ed Joyce from Sussex notably uses the same gloves so there may be a possibility that they're his?

Balls! Well batted mate - I was chuffed with my 130 - kicking myself now as it saw the end of my GN Prestiges and these would come in handy!

On that note; what are peoples thoughts - the insides are starting to wear (foam coming out as stitching inside has gone) but I'm playing well in them - do I go superstitious and stick with them, or relegate them to net gloves and by myself a new pair?! Cup game tomorrow night so need to choose quickly!
