So, having played three games without a helmet, i think it's finally time to start thinking of buying one.
I haven't worn one before as the GN helmet i tried on at my first nets completely restricted my vision (though that probably has something to do with the fact it didn't fit properly) i felt fine in my first 2 games, however in the third i had a head high full toss that i ducked under, but had it hit me it would have done serious damage, so i think it's finally time to start wearing one.
However, i'm a bit fussy when it comes to comfort, and would preferably like one that offers decent vision as the GN one didn't particularly offer it.
Can someone point me in the right direction please? Wouldn't like to spend more than £80 or so as i'm a poor student :(

Masuri VS Club is a good option for your budget.

I bought the Shrey Masterclass Air and used it for the first time at the weekend.
Very impressed by the comfort and vision it gave so I'd recommend it :)

Shrey Pro Guard look good for vision and comfort, and it's within your price range.
-
Try the gm one, they are light and work ok in my view.

Heard arytek are meant to be good as well?
Seems like my best bet is to have a trip to vitas as some point and try a few on

Seconded. You could look at the Pro Guard aswell, a tad cheaper but I don't know what the difference is between them really. Not sure if you'll find any at Vitas though, I don't think Jake rates the quality. Seems fine on mine, but I've never used a new Masuri, so couldn't compare.

'Getting My First Helmet' would be a thread with sooooo many connotations to it! :)

We will have fresh stock that's 2013 compliant landing in around 2 weeks time 👍

Is it your helmets that have the 'inflate button' on them?
-
We did produce a range that use an air liner in them yes, the newer models don't feature this type of liner ATM tho and use a more traditional polystyrene liner.

Fair enough, is there any place i could try different sizes on for feel? very fussy about comfort lol

We only offer 1 senior size that comes with different thicknesses of padding to adjust the internal fit.

I got mine from Its Just Cricket and they rated it really highly - compared it to the new masuri and the build quality was equally as good on both in my opinion
