Great work mate. I've got a willow blue bat arriving soon. I've never had one and I'm very keen to compare to my other bats.
I wish you all the best with the brand.

would would love to hear the answer to that question anyone ever own an aussie willow bat?
-
I have. It went like stink, but it was very fragile, didn't last the season I think.

I have seen a few and would have thought the opposite, hard as a bulls forehead the couple I have hit. May depend who makes them though I suppose.

As stated above yes it is English Willow grown in Australia, performance seems pretty good. They seem to take a little while to get going but once they are properly knocked in they sound great and the ball flies off the face.
Having not made a bat using proper English Willow I dont have any science to base this on apart from my previously purchased bats and feedback from some teammates.

Love that back sticker!
-
Great first bat!! Best of luck. Mr. Callen seems to make bats in Australia from Willow Blue and they come with a 12 gauge barrel!! Has anyone used those at all?
-
Like the look of the sticker on the face , IMO sticker on the back is little loud.
It would be nice if you can tweak it little bit to make it appeal to bigger crowd.
-
Did you do the course with Ian? A couple of guys at my club have Callen bats and they go well.
-
Yes did the course with Ian, was pretty good so much goes into it and just learning the tools is what I struggled with, oh and sanding :)
