Title: New here and need few bat suggestions!
Post by: mav on May 23, 2016, 08:52:34 AM
Hello everyone! I moved to London 8 days back and was lucky to get couple of friendly games. I will be here for another 4-5 weeks and looking for a new/used bat for a budget of 100-120. What are my options? Don't want to buy something expensive as not sure if I would be able to carry it back or not.

B&S have some quality butterfly sticks for £140, a little bit higher than your price range but the performance of them is absolute quality.

Try Blank Bats. They will be getting some net bats in shortly in their B4 profile.

Thanks to demand and the quality price has risen to slightly more than your budget but if you come to resell, you won't loose much.

I can make something for just over that budget. I have some pre made bats in various shapes, weights and grades that may suit. Drop me a pm or email john@redinkcricket.co.uk if you want to discuss

I have an H4L warbird you could have but I would want £150 posted, it's 2.12.6 with scuff fitted, knocked in also, maybe out of you price range?

@Mel Jessop would have picked it up since it was knocked in however it's too heavy for me. Looking for 2.8- 2.9ish weight range

I've got a Newbery Uzi 5* I'm looking to sell but haven't got round to yet.

2 10 I think, some knocking in and 1 net session against old balls. In the nets it felt soft so I stopped using it and put it to 1 side for more knocking in but it's been surplus to requirements.

Can drop off in London this week, I live in Putney work in Holborn.

@mav If you're in London, head to It's Just Cricket. 5 minutes from the Oval. This way you actually get to try the bats, pick them up, swing them around - rather than buying blind!

Nothing beats buying a bat in person.
