I know OLS divide opinion on here, and are not favoured amongst the sponsors, and with that in mind it's interesting to see the hiaitus they are on - this posted on facebook and their own site I think -
"Dear Customer,
Due to high volume of orders in past 3-4 weeks we have created some backlog of orders and to streamline sales and dispatches we have stopped taking further order till 15th May 2016, we will resume sales from 16th May 2016 again after completing the existing orders. In the mean while if you have any questions regarding your existing order and any potential purchase kindly email us at myonlinestockist@gmail.com and we would love to help you out on your queries"
Anyone know what's going on with them - has a manufacturer taken exception to them, have the authorities rumbled them, did @Buzz send the boys round?
-
Just messaged as was looking for the SG equivalent of the Ghost.
hopefully this month end we will resume and then it will take 7-8 working days for delivery after that, we had some delivery delays in past 2 months due to poor procurement issues with all makers, this resulted due to sudden increase in demand but now we have resolved the things and we r looking to open after a break around this month end

"Poor procurement issues"
Hahahahahaha, sounds like a Talisman issue!
Just buy from a reputable source and your life will be significantly simpler.

Ajit has obviously run out of stricken family members...

But more expensive by a mile
19 quid gloves
25 quid pads
:)

I think for the first time he might be speaking truth, which I appreciate is better than making lame execuses. But I didn't have a bad experience myself as I would always ask him what he had in stock rather than looking for a specific item.

Cheaper is not always cheaper... Or better :)

Hmmm - I wonder if anyones tempted to pick up the SG version of the Ghost to see if it's any good?
If only there was a forum member looking for one..... ;)
-
On that point... Is there anybody able to confirm that the Sierra is the SG version of the Ghost?

Which model is it out of interest ?
-
According to @Buzz - who is SG's self-appointed mole - it is the Sierra, either 250 or 350.

Rather cheap too compared to the Kooka Ghost - doesn't look as nice aesthetically (sticker wise) but if it saves £130!
What are peoples thoughts on this company? Reading the above makes me rather nervous!

How did it play?
-
Seconding the "How'd it play" line - and have you got any face pics? I'm partial to a nice bit of grainage ;)
-
I have seen a few Sierra 250 & 350 and they all play really well. At some stage I will definitely buy them.
-
Another question to add to "how does it play" and "what's the grain like"
- is the handle in the same as the Kookaburra Ghost as I love my mates handle... oo-err! ;)
-
The shape and the quality of the handle does matter when comparing it to Ghost... SG looks very nice indeed.
-
Bloke at my club has one, doesn't feel nice in the hands at all but seems to go when he hits it.
-
Sierra 350 was a big bat for weight, pinged lovely.
I'll look for more pics and post later today
-
If you could find out about the handle as well - love my mates as previously mentioned. It's great.
His ghost also goes like an absolute gun!
Also: 100 posts is up - batted..! Haha!
-
Sorry couldn't find the pics but I have these sent earlier to me by the retailer

I have not seen the ghost bat so cannot compare but this one played really well, not hard pressed . I am out of town for the week. Will check for pics in my laptop later

-
Not a bad bat for the price, but looks nothing like a ghost to me.
-
Looks a good stick for the price! been weighing up if i want to do the same and get one as a net bat. Just cant seem to justify the crazy postage costs to Aus
-
Looks a nice shape, a bit like a few puma sticks
-
Looks nothing like similar bats I have seen before too, I thought they were a same shape to the 350

Grip is exactly the same used on Kook Kahuna india models.
