An interesting little article by the Telegraph about Michael Yardy's new book that is out. it gives a little insight as to what the book is about but also some of the things us players and spectators may not have know about about Michael's condition. I'm happy to know that cricket as a sport is a one in which players don't feel as ashamed to come forward about mental illness but I know more could be done and that its something the PCA is constantly educating players about.

Read that last night, was quite a hard read. Glad he's on the mend though

As a Sussex fan its great to see Yards on the mend, he really is one of the games good guys. Even during his difficult times he never let us or himself down and was a great credit to our club. Could really do with him playing now to show a few of our younger boys how to build an innings

I did a level 1 coaching course with him in Sussex years ago. Very nice guy and modest, certainly no airs and graces about being a pro.
Hope he is still involved in cricket in some way
