Don't think you'd be able to get more grains if you tried....

They seem to put some cracking bats on their Facebook. What was the price of this one?

Far too light all of them for me though, only seen one 2.11 in months.

The prices on their fb are really good... 275 USD for a G1 kohli copy. Then again don't expect any post sale customer service, RNS are very poor

Cor!! I've got to say, some of the sticks pictured on there are very sexy, I'm getting a bit aroused, and when I get aroused, I start drinking and the wallet comes out!

Anyone in the UK bought direct through their facebook?

Apart from the aroused bit i was just thinking exactly the same.... although "lots of wood" was a phrase i was just muttering.

I'm sorry Thomas, but yours are a bit expensive for poor little me - the facebook prices are rather tempting.

I'm going to see if they do a size 5 for @Boondougal

I got one via facebook post. Bats are good but the handle feels way too thin ...

I took the plunge and ordered the Kohli profile yesterday afternoon. I deal with a bloke called Harit. I messaged him on FB and then he asked me to contact him via What'sAp. Originally I wanted one of the bats with the multi-grains and some redwood but he sold me on the Kohli profile. Overall he was good to deal with and I felt for £178 it was a reasonable risk/punt. I should get the bat about Monday which I though was an reasonable turn around. I'll report back when I have the bat in my hands. If the bat works out well then I would certainly be tempted again with those prices.

Larsons is the same as CA Pakistan- think of buying each bat as buying a storm damaged cleft. Many turn out to have good performance but Could BREAK ANY DAY and then they don't want to know you anymore.

lot more issues with bats from their facebook person -thats for sure. Not sure if those are overdried even more than usual to make them bigger.

Much Safer/Better to go SS/SG/BAS

You did well JT - I actually struggled on the communication front. Questions such as 'can I see a profile pic' and 'how much is the bat' seemed a little tricky, so I gave up.

I bought RNS Unik from the dealer in USA years back, still going strong. Thinking of same, I ordered one from his facebook posts. Not completely satisfied. Its a average bat for the 200 US dollars. I would suggest to talk to him regarding the profile you want and also ask him for the pics of the bat once its finished. Tough to get a hand on a good RNS bats now a days.

Could BREAK ANY DAY

Isn't that any bat you buy? You're buying a natural product!

@IQ - I understand you may have had bad experience with Larsons or CA bat. But it may not happen to everyone. I still have an old CA 12k which works really well. RNS Larsons was new entry for me too, but with the exception of thin handle, their bat performance seems to fine. Let's see how it turns out in the long run.

I guess they are going a little overboard with marketing ...  :D

Apparently all 3 together is $330!! £224 for three bats is crazy, can only assume they're highly average bats.

Seems a pretty typical price for grade 4 made in India to me

The RNS bats I've seen have been quite nice, but there does seem to be consistent comments about poor after sales

No, customer care should anything go wrong with the bat. The general consensus seems to be that they don't even respond to emails when this happens

After sales there is no service. Its like a one way ticket. You pay money, bat gets posted to you and they don't respond when something happens. However there is no surprise on this regard, since SS does the same when you buy directly from them. Shipping cost to return bats back to them could easily become a significant percent of the bat price. Many people don't return they just retire these bats into net bat or go ahead on eBay for re-sale.

A lot of grainy willow coming from RNS at the moment. Anyone know how their bats are pressed and what their knocking in is like?

Back in the day CA were really good. CA 12k and CA 12K TRD were some nice bats.

Lately (especially since last year) they have been very crappy.

Isn't that any bat you buy? You're buying a natural product!
but in case of Larsons or CA the odds are stacked against you!  ;)
