A potential job opening may take me to Toronto (from New York). Before anything else, I know I need to figure out the cricket scene there (length of season, quality of grounds, facilities etc etc). Nothing else matters ;)
Anyone here able to give some guidance?

I am in Vancouver but I know there is good cricket in Toronto. I think season is from May to Early September. Some grounds have turf wickets while some have astro-turf (matting).

thank you very much. looks like a very decent structure.

Toronto has good cricket but limited to May till July or early Aug. TDCA is one of the bigger leagues but there are other leagues as well in and around Toronto. Enough cricket to keep you busy in summer.

may-july certainly on the shorter side! but the grounds do look nice. how are the indoor facilities ?

There are lot of indoor facilities in and around Toronto, indoor nets season starts around Nov and goes on till April and most of the facilities are busy.

May to Aug is not much compared to NJ/NY area. Practice games start mid-april and season ends in october with lot of T20 games played in sept-oct.

@brokenbat,
The season is from May to August but as some guys stated earlier that practice games commence in April even while if your team does good, then you can play till September.
Indoor facilities are decent, there are lots of them in outskirts of Toronto while some fall in 6 side.
TDCA is creme de la creme and most competitive, others leagues higher divisions are competitive and good.
You can always reach out and message me for any question regarding Toronto, I play in few different leagues for few different clubs.
Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot guys. Much appreciated. Will certainly reach out if/when I get close to moving.

@brokenbat I play in Buffalo/Niagara Falls, NY, USA (2 hours away from downtown Toronto, CA) and we also have a similar season as them. We start 2nd week of May and end in October. Winter nets start in November. If you do wish to play on the other side of the border please get in touch....
