Title: Season Put On Hold
Post by: NT50 on May 26, 2016, 11:05:27 PM
So after only playing 3 games in my first season of cricket, it looks like i'll be on the sidelines for a few weeks at the least!

For the second time in a year i've torn the ligaments in my ankle and am currently on crutches! Was kicking a ball about at school, fell backwards and my ankle just rolled. Ironically, the size of the swelling was about the size of a cricket ball, but thankfully is down to a golf ball now. Last time it took me a good 5/6 weeks to start playing football again, i'm half-walking with the aid of crutches after just 2 days, when last time it was ~2 weeks so hopefully should only be out for just over a month, but shall be visiting a physio in the coming days, but it'll be a while till i feel confident bowling at full speed!

Shame as i was due to play my first game for my local clubs Sunday 2nds this week, though admittedly it was 90% because they supply the best teas in the county (ask @Vitas Cricket he'll know which club i mean! )

One of the perks of Eaton Socon is the tea! Injured or not, just go for the feast!

They are incredible. Never been so grateful that we batted first so I could delve in.

Didn't even need to tell you the club  :D

I go down pretty much most Saturdays to watch the 1 or 2's, always some tea left over as well  ;)

True, she does put on enough to feed a small village!

You know it's going to be a good tea when it can't all fit on the pool table!
