Title: Junior vs Senior Helmet
Post by: Nespresco on May 30, 2016, 10:42:54 PM
So, I am looking for a helmet 57cm in circumference. I noticed that there is a significant overlap between the Masuri Vision Test junior and small mens (senior) helmets, there is also something similar with the Shrey helmets. There is a huge price difference for, what according to the description appears to be, the exact same helmet (albeit different sizes). I had a look over at http://www.ecb.co.uk/information/ecb-and-pca-guidance-head-protectorshelmets (http://www.ecb.co.uk/information/ecb-and-pca-guidance-head-protectorshelmets) and saw that the Shrey junior and senior helmets were tested and conform against both junior and senior balls. The Masuri seems a little unclear as no model is specified as junior or senior.

So is this a bargain or is it unsafe?

Junior safety products are often classified as VAT exempt hence why they maybe priced at a cheaper RRP than the senior models.

That would explain the price difference. Beyond that, they are the same product with the same protection?
