We had a recent customer request for a 3lb 4oz H4L Monster with the edges as big as possible. Arrangements were made with Matt and today this 52mm edged lump arrived ready for us to delight the customer with. It makes a mockery of the edge stamp, which is usually quite imposing on the side of a H4L bat.
Enjoy.

A monster of a bat!
-
Wowzer :o Not sure this will work against pacers but spinners are in trouble for sure.
-
Brilliantly pointed Jake - does mock the cute devil 😁
-
The Monsters I've seen have all been huge, but this one must take the crown!
I think it was @Northern monkey who thought having two Devil's on top of each other on the edge would look good and show off the size
-
Wish I was manly enough to wield that in anger!!!
Probably get three brands on that edge
-
Wow! Wouldn't like to be bowling and see that be carried to the middle!!
-
literally just laughed out load when i saw that bat...
Its certainly no joke of a piece of willow though, if you are strong enough and talented enough to use that effectively then hats off too you, i bet the ball will fly.
-
Can this be done for 2-12/2-13 weight with one grip, no stickers, toe guard, and no anti-scuff sheet?
-
Gee whiz, that's a complete monster.
-
How do you play any cricket shot with that piece of willow. Nice stick for G2 as well
-
Wow!! That's a sleeper alright how can someone possibly swing that piece of willow !
-
Best thing about these big H4L's is that there is a lot of wood in the shoulders making the pick up really good for the weight!! Lovely bat, good stuff Jake!
What is the edge size where the h4lruns sticker is @Vitas Cricket ?
-
Jeeez I thought my Monster was big but that's ridiculous!

A Monster at that weight with no stickers probably can be made, but not one with 52mm edges.
The current state of the bat at 3lb 4oz is one grip, stickers, no toe guard and no anti scuff sheet.
Removing stickers will not save 7 ounces.
@JB edge size at the top of the h4lruns sticker is 45mm.
-
45mm! That's a huge bat, bet the balance is spot on!
-

So, what is the best you can do?

I have the bat in this H4L tweet https://twitter.com/H4Lcricket/status/700773016398073856
It's the Matt Coles profile with 50mm edges, 1.5 grips, some concaving, no toe guard or face sheet and is 2.14.
I think it was made to show how 'big' they could go at a 'reasonable' weight.
-
The Coles profile is outstanding! Think mine is 2.15 with 2 grips and is 47mm edge & 72mm spine.
-
That's looks absolutely massive!!
-
Massive bat. H4L are making some amazing bats.
