Don't know where to start on trying to get my clubs badge on my masuri helmet, can anyone do it? If I send the template to chase would they be able to do it? Will it cost me an arm and a leg? I think Talisman or Pinch-Hitter will be the best people to answer, but anyone who knows help me out!
Admin: I'm sure there has been at least one topic on this before, but i can't find it anywhere!

Try Autobadges on eBay, it's a vinyl sticker but we have had them used on Masuri's and stuck quite well, only if you're stuck for an option
-
I wouldn't know, I have a feeling the logo's are stitched to the cloth before applied to the helmet ?
Ill see what i can do.

Chase are not affiliated with Masuri anymore, but you could cut a badge off one of your club caps and superglue it on? Looks pretty good.
-
cheers guys, i will look into autobadges. ok thanks p-h, and leo that is a hell of a shout!
-
It is simple to get Masuri to embroider, its what they do mainly under the Cotton Graphics brand, but you do need a minimum of 6 helmets as the start up costs are spread when you do this. You could get one done but it will not be cheap. I can get you a quote when I'm there next week.
The cloth outer is removed, embroided and then glued back into the inside of the shell.

Not with the new workshop he doesn't look great though and the knocking in booth is simply brilliant
-
I would go with leo's suggestions, i cut the badge off an old polo shirt and used toe guard glue to attach it to the helmet! Looks great

If you want to buy the helmets as well, then Masuri embroider the logos at source (India). Costs in the region of £5 per helmet. Minimum order 6 helmets, but takes 6-8 weeks. Just had a quote done for my own club. There may be a small setup charge unless you can supply a DST file (which is the embroider format file).
Hope this helps.

Personally, I would have used PVA Glue, as it would have turned out clear
-
Ash, it is actually clear glue but as i put too much on it came out the side and dried dark, i used tape to keep it in place so didnt see it seeping out!! So would recommend using clear tape so you can see it when drying
-
ahh that looks awesome! only problem is i have loads of logos i could use but all different background colours. i have logos to use on a red jacket, 2 playing shirts, black polo shirt, black tracksuit bottoms, black raincoat and white training shirt... but my helmet is green!

Black polo would be best, surely?

wow, small world! yeah i play skittles with gary, and know stu really well. both still involved, gary's a hell of a player and stu is still keen as mustard! who do you play for?
-
Play for Westland in Yeovil and had 5 years at Ilminster. Played against Gary for both WCC and ICC. Played against Stuart when i was a very young lad. Made my senior debut aged 12 (that is 27years ago !!) against Minehead. Had to face a guy called Martin Knight who was playing for Somerset at the time and who was sharp.
Played with Gary for Somerset right through from U13's to the Board X1. Great player
Give my regards to Gary and Stuart when you see them.
-
ahh good stuff! we had a game rained off against ilminster pre season 2008 if i remember rightly.... and i didnt know martin knight played for somerset, i heard he was quick though!
yeah gary is still good now, everyone at our club wonders why he hasnt played county cricket for a number of years... even scored 150 odd in the wepl in the season just gone.

Yes I was at Ilminster in 2008 Ian but remember pre season being washed out.
I think Martin played for Somerset, maybe just 2nd X1, but as a 12 year old that was good enough for me !!
Yes Gary is another talented played not given much of a chance when he was younger. There have been plenty of them over the years.
Cheers
-

I couldnt tell you mate...the missus might found out

Had a go at putting our club logo on my helmet. Quite pleased with it, apart from the glue discolouring my badge a bit.
-
I would have gone for the Velcro strip effect. They do them mm thin now and if you'd have glued the Velcro to lid and sewn re other half to the badge it would have worked awesome :D
-
Good effort Crobbo, anybody know how much it costs for Masuri to embroid club logos?
-
Depends where you go mate. All different prices and some charge on a MOQ.
-
Minimum order is 6, they would have to be placed before mid February to be stitched in, otherwise badges can be made and stuck on in the UK.
