Title: Two New Sticks
Post by: Jamesfield on June 17, 2016, 05:10:49 PM: In the last 2 days i have aquired two new bats and thought id share them with you to see what you think!

1. Hawk X.B 900 Players Edition Long Blade
9 straight(ish) grains with a strip of heartwood on the inside edge. Performing well but will need several hours of knocking in first
Edge= 33mm
Spine= 58mm
Weight: 2.11.5

2. SF Black Edition Long Handle
12 Grains with a strip of heartwood on the outside edge. It has a few little blemishes which i slightly disappointing given the price but the performance makes up for it.
Edge= 40mm
Spine=61mm
Weight= 2.9 on the dot.

Whilst i was at Hawk i had a play with a exact replica Chris Gayle bat...

All in all, i am happy with both of the bats and will now start the tedious knocking in process...

That to me nowhere looks like a grade 1.

And yes i thought that but the bat is a replacement for a faulty one that snapped after one game. Took a lot of effort to get them to replace it and eventually got this, not as nice as the old one but the performace is fantastic which is all that really matters to me!
