Not a thread about ugly ex's, but about well used bats.

I know the usual on here is to keep all your bats looking as close to unused as possible with a full refurb and new stickers and antiscuff after each ball faced, but I actually quite like the looks of bats when the face starts to get a good amount of surface crack on it, as such I tend only to sand/refurb my bats at the end of the season if if they get a bit of damage.

So this is a thread for posting photo's of bats with plenty of battle scars.

Here's my current match bat. You'll have to excuse the green cherrys, we play with white balls and the dukes logo seems to transfer pretty easily.

Rubbish! They are brilliant.
Put more tape on, when they are completely done put them in a tomb and bury them in Cairo.

It's not really the condition that bothers me. It's the use of duct tape and diagonal fibre tape. Messing with my OCD (Obsessive Cricket Disorder)

Either list them on EBay as "Slightly used", if that fails list them as door stops, and if that fails, Viking burial.

The bat on the right there looks super, bet it is really performing well. Many people would discard it long before it gets to this stage.

Im not sure on the black tape but each to their own :)
