hi there guys
was just wondering -
bairstow had changed his bat from test to ODI from the players to the Supernova.
Do you think that's why he struggled ??
-
Probably the same profile just different sticker tbh
-
I would imagine it's the exact same bat (at least in shape etc.) as the one he used in the test just with Supernova stickers.
-
Cheers guys - was just watching the highlights with a few lads from cricket and we started discussing it
shame we cant do that haha

GN have/had a policy of their pros using the Classic range in red ball cricket and then the jazzier coloured bats in white ball cricket. You may recall Taylor switching from a Classic bat to a Powerbow over the winter, depending on the format played.
Hales has scuppered this policy somewhat by using his Supernova in all formats.

yeah that's what we was saying - hales must feel more comfortable using the same stickers.
would love the players bat but will stay with the supernova :D

It clearly worked for Hales in the test series though so let him get on with it.
I noticed he had his own sticker where the grade usually goes too

That's an intriguing policy, almost a nice parallel to the changes in clothing for the various formats.

Must be irritating for the sponsored players who like having just one match bat.

same number of bats though surely
-
I meant if they either had to change bats for one format, or were forced to remove and replace the stickers constantly.
-
I reckon would be done prior to series starting!!
-
I know that, still a ballache doing that 5-6 times a year though.
-
oh yeah exactly mate
you look on twitter on GN workshop - cooky has his bats refurbed as he gets on well with them - and JB has one fav bat and just gets it re stickered.
