I'll go first -
on most of my bats i have a fish / snake scale grip. if the bat is bottom heavy, i usually use a thin grip (chevron) and a thicker (snake / fish / spiral) grip on the outside to help improve the pickup.
However, if the bats has an exquisite balance and pickup (like a L&W reserve), i just have the factory grip on.
what about you? Love to hear your thoughts and see some pictures of your favorite bats and their grips.

Just a single chevron grip for me to keep it simple, if I start thinking about different grip types/how many it's just another gremlin and battings complex enough at times as it is
More important for me is the handle shape, a semi oval is by far my favourite.

I think this was discussed previously here

Has to be a black grip either the surridge combi grips or a simple coil grip, I remove the binding and tape the back of the handle to create the perfect oval shape possible
-
I'm a lover of chevron grips at the moment; currently got a black one on. Understated - personally think it's better to let your shots and runs do the talking as opposed to a garishly coloured grip!
-
I use coil on all bats, ever since I had a slaz sxi that came with one just prefer them to the rest, always in white so my gloves don't stain to much from the grip
-
White ripple for me, sometimes with something thinner beneath if I feel it needs it.
-
Gray Nicolls grips as a rule. They are reasonably thin, and I tend to prefer a thinner handle so that suits me. Colour wise I couldn't care less.

to help pickup or some other reason?

Can't go wrong with the chevrons.

A picture is worth a thousand words and all that - can you post a picture please? :)

Double thickness chevron
-
One of the lads I play with has a half chevron the ripple then another half chevron so three on the bottom half and one on on the top hand
-
@sunny_Kris I'll get some images for you tomorrow kris, what would you like the images of? How I tape my handles to get them somewhere near oval ?

exactly. it sounds like you make the round bottom more oval to help top hand control - im intrigued!

if i understand this right, he is making the bottom of the handle thicker. is it?
-
The top grip must be white.
I put half a chevron or scale grip (whatever is lying around for me to cut up!) on the bottom half of the handle.
What I use on the top depends on the thickness of the handle. For a handle that feels the right thickness I'll put either a chevron or a scale grip on.
If the handle feels a bit thin I'll use either a Kookaburra Players grip or a ripple

@19reading87
Only just seen this, and George mate I noticed when I changed his grip a while back how many he's got on his tempo

What: White Chevron
How Many: 2
Why: I saw someone on here do it and didn't want to feel left out!
-
Gray nicolls grips, because they are relatively thin, and I like to keep the handle as thin as possible. Don't really care about the colour, whatever the shop has in stock when I am buying.
