Massive score for kookaburra but also a massive payday for khawaja surely he's shown now he can play the shorter form and will be participating in more lucrative tournaments and kookaburra can have more exposure not that they need it

Would be interesting to see if kook releases something like 50 plus to match Khawaja's bat profile.

Whys there no logo on his right pad?

Sponsored Kook pads have one logo on each pad to confirm with the professional rules. So one Kook logo goes on the bottom, and on the other pad its on the side

What's the betting Kook now bring out a bat with a similar shape to the XP80 and Warner etc.

No chance.

Quite fitting that he will use the kahuna range, no Aussie has used it since the departure of the great Ricky Ponting

No chance.

Does that mean that he's going to use the same shape for both limited overs and test games skip?

I think they are the most square toed bats ive seen Khawaja use .
If i were him I'd be missing my g.n's already .

This explains why there's no Khawaja on the new GN 2017 catalogue!

No chance.

I assume he'll continue using stupidly large bats, but if you buy an off the shelf "Khawaga Kahuna" it will be nothing like the same shape then?

Or are Kooks going to produce a Khawaja players edition - and charge mad money for it, like the GM players editions or GN warner shapes?

Surely kooks are one of the few big brands not to have done that in recent history?

Kookaburra won't be capable of producing a bat of the sort of size he's been using from GN. GN are reasonably unique in processing their own willow, so are not limited in cleft size from willow merchants.

There might well be a Khawaja edition (although he's hardly a worldwide megastar) but I would be surprised if it came in a huge profile

Or it'll be similar to the Kaboom in the UK. Completely different shape to the actual Warner Kaboom, but can charge a good amount for them. From business sense it would make a good deal of sense for Kooks. Who else are their big international stars? Buttler, Maxwell? AB is going to MRF soon reportedly so I'd be surprised if they don't make Khawaja the poster boy

We know superstars all over the world have got hold of the big Grays.

Ghambir
Sangakarra
Ab de villiers(who is with kook)
Etc etc

But rumours be most have got them from grays sponsored players while sharing a dressing room at t20 tournaments.

Hell even khawaja first used one of Warners before he got stickers to go on it that re labelled it an oblivion(e41, or whatever it's called)

Be intriguing now to see if he can still get hold of them having now ditched grays for abit more money? Do you reckon Stewart kranzbular has been on the phone to davey Warner already saying "don't let him get his hands on any more do your bats!!"

Its been a poorly kept secret for a while, i'm sure i read an article about it that was posted on the forum a while back. Something like that never stays under wraps in India lol.

Tbf that explains the Khawaja move. Not a bad gamble if he does a Steve Smith and gets into some great form for a couple of years and suddenly sells them a load of bats. Plus aussies love kooks so he'll sell a lot for them there

For major brands it has to be about getting their crucial moves in well in time for the Ashes in my opinion.

Aus host the south Africans and Pakistanis this winter, as well as kiwis for some odis, so makes sense to get the change in before then. SA and NZ big markets for kooks

Usman still has a few stashed, nothing stops any cricketer buying a bat from GN, plenty do. I remember Stu telling me about an Indian star who asked him to make a bat, said star loved the bat but was less impressed when he was billed for it.
