Title: Focus Butterfly from Jake @ Vitas cricket
Post by: gaurav23 on July 15, 2016, 09:55:20 AM
Hello everyone. Received this Focus Butterfly from Jake@Vitas a few days back & boy was it a pleasing sight first up !!
The specs are
Weight - 2lb 13.5oz
Max Edge size - 35mm
Max spine height - 60mm
Concaving - 4mm all around
Grains - 7 with only 1 mark as an imperfection
Shoulders - 20mm
Toe- 22mm with 35mm at the centre
Face camber @ 5-6mm surprisingly
Super finish. Oiled it & it did not soak the 2nd coat totally, so good
Now the blade length is 1" shorter but the overall length, that of a LH bat. The response of the ball is fair but feels fairly stiff with the mallet which I am sure will get sorted after  proper knocking in. Now the best part which blew right away was the balance & pick up which is aided by the even profile & a Medium semi-oval triple rubber sprung handle.
Not the most impressive specs I agree but the bat with its rounded toe & camber gives a very traditional feel.
The stickers ooze class with matte black, chrome & white going on smoothly. A big shout out to Jake  for sorting a decent cleft at a very competitive price.

Specs aren't ridiculous but still looks a seriously chunky monkey!

Surprised the butterfly stain is in the non hitting area, surely more helpful had the handle been the other end and the stain extending the middle towards the toe?

Nice bat though!
