Looks like South African cricket is heading down the Zimbabwean route...requirement of having 7 coloured players in each playing XI.
Seems ridiculous that players will be selected on colour rather than talent...
Anyway we might end up poaching the next AB de Villiers or Dale Steyn.

Been happening for years mate. They still have a quota now, and have done so in recent years.
So as not to offend anyone, I played with a SA schoolboy (who, by the way, was beyond talented) and this is what he told me. Although I think the quota then was 2 x black players in the touring party?
Either way, it's nonsense. I am sure there are some locals on here that will put me right

Someone on cricinfo commented that the good news is at least the A team will be test standard . Truer words have never been spoken . This is very sad for cricket .
-
Absolutely ridiculous. They should be banned from test match cricket for racial discrimination.
-
Would be absolutely disappointing for really talented guys, there are ways to promote/help people of colour
-
Kick them out of international sport. No place for quotas in sport

You really must go through tinfoil at an alarming rate.

I don't get it?🤔

Its just wrong on so many levels. How could anyone, never mind a high profile test nation think this is ok?

Watched a series on BBC iPlayer with Reggie Yates looking at life in South Africa.
Seems that the country is just going to descend into a reverse racism spiral to punish a new generation for a previous generations actions.
Realy shame that everybody cannot learn from mistakes of the past.
