Title: Duck & Run Centurion
Post by: Gardiner1886 on July 28, 2016, 09:26:19 AM
Morning Gentlemen. Has anyone on here ever come across a Duck & Run Centurion before? I've never heard of the company before but I've found one in my midweek teams old kit bag and was debating weather or not it was worth tarting up? If I can work out how I'll upload some pictures

A team mate has a duck and run. Not sure which one. I think they are a sticker brand based in Devon. His bat is quite dry and fairly unspectacular performance wise.
Another guy I played t20 with had one. It was a laminate and a total cannon.
Clearly Indian made.
My view is every bat is worth a refurb as someone will appreciate it.

I don't know how I'd go about repairing this though as it looks like someone's band thr stumps back in with it. Do you know how to upload pictures?

Dents will often steam out. Hold it over the kettle/pan of water as it boils.
Upload photos to  photobucket or a similar app then paste the link.

I use one, love the profile! Mine goes very well.

They're shop brand shop down in the south east so not sure who actually makes them.

Pictures not the clearest and on second look I don't think it was stumps that caused the damage

did:
a) anyone knock it in?
b) do you use rocks for balls?

Looks like it was knocked in by Thor.

Then had a quick net against some grenades...

if you have found that, as in it's now yours if no one claims it  :) you have had a right result if that's the only damage

either not knocked in, or rock hard balls have dented it

could of hours with a mallet to even it out you have a good result

check the handle, if that's in tact the bat gods have been kind to you

Well I've just spent the last two hour sanding it. I thought it looked better so put some oil on it a low and behold it's still (No Swearing Please)! Think this one's ready for the bin

Only looks like surface cracks.

Use it until its dead!

What's the response like? If it's any good put a fibre face on it. If it's no good put it back in the kit bag. A few cracks doesn't mean it's broken.

mate honestly if there are NO cracks gone thru the back on the handle that is useable. Yes it's cracked a bit unusually but still be be used. These are pretty good bats.

have you bounced a ball on it, do you get that spring out of it? if so.....don't give up !!

 :) :)

Most likely cracked from someone trying to hit it into the next county...against a really cheap ball!

It'll do for netting I guess!

If you're so adamant it's only fit for the bin I'll give you a tenner for it ;)

nice try...but we all know your re-furb skills.

back from the dead?  oh looks it's a new bat again... :)

interesting cracking patterns on this bat.....hav'nt seen that very often.
