I have couple of old-style Masuri titanium grills sitting in the house. They both received top edged quick balls on the side (as I was pulling) and one of welds has split open. I don't know what to do with them. I am afraid of using them with a loose joint/weld as a ball might sneak thru. Is it possible to fix them? Are the re-usable? Should I just junk them?

Interested in if there are any answers to this too as got a shed load of Ti grills that need a weld here and there.

They'd have a decent scrap value wouldn't they?
-
Take them to a metal fabricator. The ti grills can be easily tig welded.

What is a "tig" weld?

What is a "tig" weld?
It's the type of gas used in the welding process

Have to be gas welded but once they have been done they are as good as new

This was my initial thought too.
Having consulted the old man he said it is definitely doable, but welding titanium would be a fairly specialist field

Had the same problem and DIY soldered mine.

Other than the (obvious?) fact that it wouldn't be as strong as a weld, this sounds a fairly sensible workaround to me - and as you say it can be done more easily
