Title: Onhand Sports
Post by: Twelfth Man on September 13, 2016, 10:41:09 PM
Forumites, oh wise ones...

Has anybody has any recent experience with Onhand Sports equipment? They seem to do a range of sports stuff, not necessarily a cricket specific brand. Some of the cricket pads seem to have some colouring on the front of the pads? A little bit different...

I'm working with them at the moment, I got a bat, gloves, pads and duffle bundle for £260, the kit didn't arrive in time for the end of the season but I've tried the pads and gloves on and they feel really nice and the bat looks like a solid stick. If you're interested I can give you the phone number of the guy I spoke to about my kit

From memory, they had advertised blank bats that they said were made by CA, so I would guess they have had CA make some of their bats in the past. CA are excellent bats, so should have a decent offering. :)

Yes, between all the sponsors on here we should have everything anyone could need and there will be more brands available soon via TCB.

Going by the softs I would put money on the bats being from Robinsons (RS) - not to say that's a particularly bad thing, I had 3/4 in the past and they were all gun it has to be said.

From what I understand they hand out 'sponsorships' in the same regard as Mars/Woodstock (ie ask and you shall receive!)

Agree with this - as they are local to us Oxfordshirians, we see lots.
I have asked a number of people with very mixed reviews. Some have rated them highly whereas others have not been impressed.
I am not planning to use them as I know I get a more consistent quality from some of the sponsors to be fair!

What pads are you using @19reading87?

As much as I do agree with the quality of equipment on offer by the sponsors, unfortunately the top range gear costs a little bit too much for me at times when other half decent deals are sometimes available elsewhere. Not a knock on sponsors but not everybody can go out and afford the top of the range stuff at their prices

I'm pretty sure these bats are made by AS in Pakistan. A friend had one that he loved, and I did some research for him when it broke.

These bats can be very good. More than sufficient in quality for clubbies.
A few of our Magdalen schoolboys use them and they get well looked after.

@TGB1997 Any chance you could message me some photos of the kit that you have please mate? Always prefer it to the stock photos they put on websites etc!

What was wrong pal?

The spikes i purchased broke after 2 overs.

Litterally ripped out of the base of the shoes.

Its a real shame as they were really comfy!
