Evening all,
I hope this new topic finds you all well(it's my first in a long while, crocodile!)
I have been on.and off the forum for a good while.
Essentially, like many of you, cricket is my one true passion. Cricket is in my genes, it's in my blood. My Father was born in Port Elizabeth,SA. He kept wicket at Grey College, and, like me, wanted to turn professional. Sometimes in life, things don't quite work out as planned.
I went through the Surrey Youth System. I have been lucky enough to play at The Oval, and also, twice, The Home of Cricket- we all know where that is.
But I still play, I coach, I mentor youngsters, I encourage. Sometimes I kick off and go too far. I'm not perfect, but then again is anybody perfect?
All I would wish for, at this moment in time, is to put my whites on, before the Season ends. If it's too late, and all teams are filled, then I'll have to accept that, and be patient, until next year.
So essentially, I'm asking this: does anybody have a game where an extra man is needed?
I am an all rounder, but I am, always was and will always be,a Legspinner. If I could turn my arm over for a few, then I'd be happy!
If you have a team who needs a player, I'll travel to play.
And I'll do this because I love the Game of Cricket.
I hope you all enjoyed your season. And remember, focus on the good times, work on those things you need to during the off season. And if you do, then next season will be better than the last.
Thanks guys,
Adam G
