Is that one of Joe Leach's bats? Looks like a solid repair job.

That's a small split to give up on your best bat.

i was surprised when he said about the split i was expecting it to have gone through the toe. not sure why he didnt get it fixed himself.

im lucky that its the same weight as i use so will probably be my match bat next year.

Dem grains!

Bet that'd be worth a fortune if it didn't have the split. Was the guy you got it from chucking it? Madness!

Looks like a good repair though, nice work.

Looks like a job well done . One thing I've noticed though on facebook pics of similar repairs is a second clamp used with the clamp touching each edge .

Oh .....and believe it or not   I've recently seen sticky tape used instead of string/rope for binding the crack down . Apparently its really clamps down well , but just seams a bit wrong/ counter-intuitive  to me  . But thought I'd mention it since it was an actual professional  batmaker doing the repair .

Job looks a good 'un. Plenty of glue and binding and a clamp to boot.
Always a pain getting enough clamping force in the right direction and so that the clamp doesn't slip off.

Stretchy parcel tape is extremely effective. I use it in conjunction with a clamp or two for all manner of cracks and splits

I often wonder how many pro bats with reputable damage just get binned.

I've founded stretchy the tape is really useful for edge cracks and also in conjunction with clamps for bigger cracks, especially for those where it's difficult to get a clamp on such as edge cracks

I agree with some of u guys....  parcel tape is a great option to repair some cracks.... i use it in my repairs as clamps are tricky to use in some areas of the bat.

By the way great repair... i suggest to reinforce the repair with tape or my preferred option twine...
