Supposedly a change to usual contract contracts as they've split Test and OdI.

Does that all but confirm Alex Hales' (lack of) future in the Test side?

I would have thought so... I think it'll be interesting if hameed has a good winter and starts the next international summer well but hales is scoring runs for Notts too if he'll be drafted in in the middle order, however they'll be div2 runs now not div1 which might count against hales! I know I'd rather be in possession of the spot though!

Hales might get back in the middle order at some stage, he's not an opener at that level.

really hope we back hameed
