Hi,
In the market for some new gloves. Don't mind sausage or split finger style with great flexibility. I've used GN Prestige in the past. Ideally I would like pittard palms. Would be interested in other people's recommendations, please.
Many thanks for any help/advice you can offer.
-
Im using Hunts County Auras at the moment. Comfy enough, flexible and a variation of pittard palms.
-
Thanks very much. How do they compare to the Revolution gloves?
-
Currently got a pair of Dukes gloves which are holding up well, just got a pair of Bradbury Players gloves which out of the packet are awesome.
Best gloves I've ever had however were a pair of Mongoose split finger jobs. Could not have been happier with them!
-
Was it you that had the SS gloves listed on eBay? I was watching that but unfortunately couldn't get it. That SS itself was pretty good with pittards :)
-
Ah yes I remember the Mongoose ones, lovely gloves. I'll have to take a look at the Dukes gloves.
Yes it was me who had the SS gloves on flebay.

I don't have revolution gloves to compare them to mate.
I do have an older pair of Glory gloves (lighter than the Auras, and have standard palms instead of pittard) which are slightly less protective.
I also have a pair of triumph gloves. These are sausage fingers so less flexible out of the packet but excellent protection. They don't have pittard palms though so may not be any good for what you're after.

You also had SS pad listed but i see its no longer there. Is that still available?

Been using the Affinity Oxford Edition this last year, previously used my Ayrtek's with pittards palm but not found much difference between the 2 palm versions in all honesty.
-
I am using the H4L customs for matches and they are exceptionally good but a tad on the expansive side, i would recommend looking at their softs, i also have apair of cicada gloves with pittards for nets that are very good too which might be worth a look at
-
The h4l custom gloves are very good indeed used mine all last season and gave very good protection level and are very comfortable as well

For 2017, I got @Uzi Sports Pro gloves in youth size. I have not used them in nets, yet, but just home trial feels very promising. The construction and materials are high quality including Pittard palms.

H4l custom are very nice
All affinity softs are similarly top spec
Asads Uzi range is excellent
But, I do rate ss top end gloves and slazenger top end higher
Another but, I'm incredibly picky with gloves, and I don't think you can beat, going to a decent retailer and trying loads
The difference in sizing and comfort is huge across ranges
-
My affinity gloves are excellent. Failing that my 2nd favourite are puma.
-
I've always preferred split fingers and pittards , but ever since getting a pair of Bas Players (sausage, sheep leather palm) , they are my new favourite ever glove . I have 3 pairs but want about 7 more . Soooooo good .
-
I'm using the BAS players and they are excellent but I'm soooo in lust with the affinity #77 range
-
Puma all day long...slightly small sizes though
-
Thanks for all the recommendations. I think I'm going to head out to Vitas later in in the year and try on a few sets.
-
H4L customs very good, just ordering a pair of LTD Edition Phantoms 55 quid they've been posting them on twitter.
-
BB guys have sausage ones in all white with similar design as BAS players. Check those out
-
These as good as I've used.

Thanks for the heads-up on these; they look very nice indeed, so much so that I've just treated myself to a pair of the Pro batting gloves; a snip at £29.95 and with Pittards for those who are that way inclined!
-
What about the gloves that nobody here thought would possibly be sold to the general public.... Kookaburra Ghost Sausage finger pro player 1 LE gloves

No worries. Can't quibble at the value.

B&S just supplied me with a set of their 2016 gloves (the plain ones) and they feel great. Soft pittards palms, classy looking with not too much branding.
I'm still looking for the B&S GP247 in small RH (if anyone has some for sale let please let me know) but the standard gloves are great.

Can't go wrong with SS LE or Millenium Pro gloves (both 2014 models). They have soft Pittards leather and they almost seem to have moisture wicking properties (I have quite sweaty palms). From images, you can also see that a lot of pros were using them. I haven't tried anything new yet but those were the best pairs I have ever had.
The SS SS DHONI 7 Batting Gloves also look quite nice they seem to be a copy of BAS gloves (used by Sachin, Dhoni and Virat) but they again have Pittards palms which I think help a lot.
-
@Dunamis Cricket do a great sausage finger! With indec and middle of the bottom hand being split fingers. Very comfy!
-
BAS Players
-
SS Test All White gloves.
Easily the comfiest gloves I've ever used.
-
I've got a pair of Hunts Aura gloves at the moment, which is basically a pair of SS Millennium Pro gloves with a different logo.
I will echo @sachin200's recommendation for those
-
Just bought these SS TON PRO TRADITIONAL (SAUSAGE FINGER) BATTING GLOVES RHM for half price. They are a nice snug fit and feel high quality.
I have average size hands so if you've got big mitts you will need a bigger size.

had a pair of these last season used them until they fell to bits
def best gloves ive used and yes, I can fit youth size gloves too and normal mens fitted absolutely perfect in this range
-
How would you order a bigger size than men's?? All the websites I've see that sell the BAS/SS gloves only offer a choice between left and right handed
