New Bat being introduced by B&S South Africa they have been working with a very good friend of there's who is a Proffessor in the Aero Space design industry . The Tester of the Product over the past 12 Months is a ex South African Player and 5 of there top Sponsored Players and I have had two prototypes which have being doing the rounds with various Sponsored Players here in the UK over the last 5 months and feed back from here in the UK has duplicated the findings of SA tested bats which are.
Shape. Very Diffrent ( in some cases UGLY )
Pick Up Very Good
Middle. The longest middle ever experienced
Balance Very Good
Feel. Very good
I will have 3 with me on Wednesday waiting on the Decals to be released and will get them out there so far in South Africa only their Sponsored players have them but will be available to public by the end of November
-
Everything any CBFer needs in a bat. Waiting for pics to be released
-
Love the camo design that covers the whole bat - The gamble paid off IMO.

They were good - you should do a run of the Mark III version for your adoring public.
-
Brilliant news Gary, can't wait to see these in the flesh!! :o
-
Decals will be SA designed I don't think they will have anything to do with the decals Buzz was talking about
-
I have seen one of these bats, and its a very interesting shape, it really doesn't look right at all. But boy the ball flies when using it!
-

Will we see any photos tomorrow or will it be a suspense until November?
-
Once the Bats decals arrive and they are all stickered up and ready for sale I will then put photos up
-
I'm intrigued

I'm sure we'll all enjoy the naked look too!
-
Weight ?
-
You fellars won't be disappointed, as Gary said the middle is the longest possible and you can tell! The one I've seen and swung around was 2.10.
-

Let us see the bat first, Gary. Don't make us wait please.
-
looking forward to this :) :) :)
-
i think this is the most anticipated bat on here at the forum.

Yes waiting for the pics :)
-
Had me on tenterhooks as soon as it was described as ugly but effective :)
Ditto! Describes my usual Saturday Night!
-
Yes, it will be interesting to see - assume it to be similar to the new Callan stick or maybe a GN Nemesis or Vortex... Keenly anticipated by the looks of things. Is there a time & date?
-
So, the profile you've all been waiting for. Here is the Revolution Black shape, the bat with the longest middle ever created. This stick weighs 2.8.5 so these will be quite light! As you can see the grains are beautiful too.

-
I know what you mean about the profile. Looks something like a first time batmaker would make!
-
Reminds me of an early 90s Volvo! 'Made with a set square and not a curve in sight.
-
Some would say it looks 'ugly,' it does certainly look different but it fair dinkum packs one hell of a punch.
-
Kinda reminds me of this:
http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=37554.0 (http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=37554.0)
If you look at the 3rd pic down to me it's very similar

I can see that, the way the edge changes direction abruptly

Don't get me wrong I like he shape! Lovely to see something different, hopefully get over to a retailer and have a look at one soon
-
All comments accepted gratefully good or bad that's all part and parcel of being in this Game don't expect too many sales on looks the ones that sell do may get the feed back of long middle and good pick up I guess performance outweighs looks only time will tell
-

To add I like 90s volvos, especially the estate ones with big turbos...... but then I'm Wierd.
-
Actually quite like it - coverage over edge etc I'd be interested to get an idea of edge size, spine height and a photo toe up
It's on of those profiles that you'd want to have a net with before buying though probably
-
Yeah! I would love a hit with one! Maybe a forum event over at vitas is in order again
-
It's probably one of those bats that needs to be seen in the flesh to fully appreciate! Bet the pick up is nice

I like this shape massively it follows the weight even distribution principle and a theory of mine about wasted wood above a certain amount theory.
I worked on the zizi, this is a brilliant shape and one Bellingham and Smith should be proud of.
Coverage is the gagen press of cricket bats and should be the in vogue thing
-
finally something really to talk about on the forum actual tech and wood science instead of innuendo bingo great stuff Gary.
I would and will buy one if they become available
-
Ive used this shape bat, and it flies. Unbelievable from toe upwards is just quality. Its very different, but in order to stay ahead you have to be different
-
It's probably one of those bats that needs to be seen in the flesh to fully appreciate! Bet the pick up is nice
Once you have a hit with one you'll be amazed, I was pretty baffled when I used one of the prototypes, balls around the stickers were managing to fly, the pick is very good too.
-

So they should even weighted coverage principle not often I get excited by bats now but I understand the theory behind the coverage should be the whole bat.
-
I'm actually underwhelmed. Sorry garry but shock horror a full body high middle bat goes well? M&H Amplus anybody? I might of missed something but good luck any way.
-
I really really like the look of this bat. In the dealings I have had with b and s overstatement doesn't seem part of the repertoire as such I would definitely be in the queue once it is available.
-

It's nothing like an amplus, wait for better photos :)

Sorry chaps I will be visiting Vitas soon which means dusty can take some pictures and post my photographic skills are severely lacking
-
That looks a bit out there
A lot of wood in the hitting area
Would be interested in a net with that
Might just shape something similar up for the eversley net
-
Do it Monkers - and weight it so that normal people can use it! :)

thats the first thing this bat reminded of ..your b3 zizi
long sweet spot but hard to digest the shape
hope it works out
-

-

Like a said it a smaller zizi nice bat though that a principle I think it great.
-
Looks a stunning profile!
What's the pickup like?
-
Hmm
A lot of wood down the bottom half of the bat
Looking at those pics, I'd say it's gonna be difficult without some severe concaving to get it around 2.9ish?
And it's surely gonna pick up bottom heavy?
I'm intrigued enough to nip out and shape one now
-
The pickup is very good, not toe heavy at all. This bat weighs 2'8 with very little concaving.
-
Yeah
Just taken off about half an ounce of dead weight to match that edge shape, I've still left 25mm edges and toe
The pick up is vastly improved, quite surprising
I reckon you could have a 30mm toe and edged bat with that profile at 2.10, and it would pick up unreal.
Perfect bat?
Bout time we got away from stupid edges
And that toe up picture looks mega!
Just had a little knock up with it in the garden, very nice
I'm sold
And if they are being made by who I think they are, your onto a winner there
-
I'm intrigued, would love to try one but hard to get your head around how that shape would feel in the hands! Dare I say it, there's just a hint of Mongoose Cor3?
-
I'm surprised how much difference to the pick up its made, by slimming the edges down that way
I've always removed the weight from the spine, and as a whole across the profile, but half an ounce from edges makes a big difference to pickup
Would be interested in maybe a warbird/Toro type combo with this profile
The bat speed would be unreal through the ball and you could maybe go up a couple of ounces on dead weight
-
PATENT PENDING 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 if only
-
Can't copy the quality of willow and pressing those B&S bats are gonna have
:)
-
(http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc235/lexxroden/2010875.jpg)
I can see the reference to the CoR3, although would argue the CoR is more elegant and had a focus of retaining a thick toe from the middle down
-

Sounds good. Do let me know when they become available along with the shipping rate to Canada. Thank You

Did anyone get one of these in the end? I'm pretty interested not scared of going for something ugly if the performance is there?

Odd shape absolutely, but mine is anything but ugly!
