Are you a batmaker yourselves and how many clefts were you thinking about?

JS Wrights and Anglian are willow suppliers and wont deal with you for a few clefts.

Champ are bat makers so they will have sell the clefts with a bit of a markup  (just something to keep in mind)

Stay away from SIDS (any bat is "grade 1 players" in their book)

Maybe talk to Lachlan Dinger in Melbourne - he had some grade 3 clefts left on him -  nice honest bloke too.

Not sure how much you are aware but don't spend too much time/money/effort with Australian Willow- more of a Ponzi scheme than anything else.

Solid advice from IQ.

I'd be asking the smaller bat makers, for me they will be the only people willing to sell the odd cleft.

Not heard of Lachlan Dinger, but I know Lachlan Fisher is in Melbourne and it sounds like he's selling up. So he might be a good bet for wanting to get rid of some?

Dinger owned Dingbat sports but has moved on to work for Kook so might have a few bits.

Kippax are another option over here who supply clefts from willow that have grown/sourced.

Kippax definitely supply willow/clefts in smaller quantities but no idea of there availability?  I've bought some bats and softs from Champ, good to deal with and good quality gear.  Never bought clefts from them though.  There will be a mark up on them though as they will basically just be selling on clefts they've bought from the UK for their own use!

Try Canadian willow. It's the new trend these days in bat manufacturing.

Try Canadian willow. It's the new trend these days in bat manufacturing.

Canadian or European willow is like Aussie willow- lots of cracks far too soon. Good for people who know what they are doing and can keep fixing/gluing cracks as they happen.

Don't think they are good for mass production.
