Title: Suggestion of a Bat Name

Hi,

We are thinking of launching a new bat and can't decide on the name which is attractive and stands out from the rest.
Would like to ask Forum guys if they can help us with the name.
Any suggestions?

Exedo-Latin for to exceed,leave or pass beyond
Exito-Latin for to raise or awake something (awake the crowd?)

bit of the adidas idea but they are alright i guess!

CCC already used the weapon so perhaps something original....not that we have/use anything unique!

I think Latin names are the way to go in my opinion. There are some good english to latin translators around on the internet, so I would play around with words and phrases if thats a road you would like to go down.

words like blizzard, frost and storm come to mind being in snowy england... a striking white colour scheme with one of those words could be popular

I'd be careful though, you could end up with a poorly translated/conjugated word, or worse an embarrassing double-meaning. Like with Sanskrit tattoos, do you really know what you get?

Still running with the Latin theme...

Super Ora or Superora

Its a latin translation for 'Over/Above Boundary' which is quite apt for for a cricket bat I thinks. 

IMO its a pretty good name for a bat

Given the Latin thing has been done, how about an Egyptian theme...
Aten (a form of the Sun God)
Sekhmet (goddess of war/destruction)
Or
Imhotep (creator of the pyramid at Sakkara)
All of which provide potential for a decent sticker

Have 4 models in the "AA" range and call them from the lowest up,

Stinger,
Igla,
Angara,
Patriot

Logo to be a very large "AA" as a background with the model name overlaid.

AA stands for Anti Aircraft and model names are missile launchers.

How about,

Bad Boy, Or just Platinum(grade one) Gold (grade two) Silver (Grade 3) Some times less is more and a bat can look a lot classier without it looking like a 4 year old has been drawing on it with a metallic marker pen. Example SS Gold, Platinum etc. Its like i saw a lovely MB Malik Bubba sher yesterday beautiful bat super balance and pick up but in my opinion spoilt by the amount of stickers all over it as it detracted from the beauty of the willow and shape.

chemical elements and compounds like iridium, titanium and nitro (i.e nitrogen) have been used by big companies to good effect...

do so research and find one with properties that could be related to a good cricket bat, i.e, strong, durable, high temerature resistance (relate to pressure in match situation) etc.

rhodium, cobalt etc. are examples but ims ure you could do better if you researched this further
