Well, I always fancied Sachin Tendulkars bat, had a word with various manufacturers no one was ready to make a custom bat for me. A few got ready but the price they wanted to charge was over the top. Recently i got in touch with a prolific batmaker who makes bats for lot of professionals, which i know he isnt lying because there was a news paper article on him. Even the owner of JS Wright visited his shop on his indian tour.
cutting the story short, i played a game with him last month, he let me use his bat and his bat was the best i have ever used. So i contacted him for a custom bat and shared just two pictures with him

and gave him my budget which was on a very low side, because i dont want to invest more on my kit which at present has many things which are lying unused.
this was wednesday, yesterday he visited SM PINTU factory, where he makes his own bats, and sent me this on whatsapp

this bat weighs 1350 grams, with amazing balance, pickup and an amazing punch.
Will be knocking and taking it to match on 23rd to see the final result, till now, very very impressed and satisfied.

2.9
2.9 as in 2.9 pounds, not 2 pounds and 9 ounces.
1350 grams is almost 3lb.

I can't see all the photos, sadly, but the profile in the couple I can looks incredible. So big and yet so light!? Amazing. I hope you score many runs with it, good luck.

That does look huge for the weight! Hope it goes well for you and you get loads of runs with it.

I think Tendulkar used heavy bats. So 3 lbs for this bat seems about what would it take.
Personally, I think it looks bottom heavy, and will need getting used to.
A 3 lbs bat, straight off the shelf, is not for everyone.
Pick-up, feel and balance of a bat plays a much, much bigger role in delivering performance of a batsman rather than the profile shape, willow grade, manufacturer, or stickers on the bat.
A $50 grade 3 bat with the right pickup, feel and balnce that suits YOUR muscle strength, ligament movements and hand-eye coordination, may help you score more runs in stylish play than playing with a $10,000 bought, Kohli's personal bat that does not suit you.
If you think Tendulkar's profile or his personal bat will make you play better then perhaps you are a novice cricketer.
I think there is a good chance that petty soon you will be done with this bat and will try to get rid of it but perhaps you won't be able the recoup your moolah, which is daily norm of the industry.

WELL, THANKS BUDDY FOR SHARING YOUR THOUGHTS ON MY CRICKETING ABILITIES.
Just adding it for your knowledge, my current match bat is bottom heavy weighing 1370 grams and i have been playing with it for last one year and i think it suits my game. Used to play with light bats, but my last two bats have been pretty heavy. Buying this bat has nothing to do with increasing my playing capabilities, which i think are pretty OK for the level i play. Got this bat made because i always fancied his bats which always looked so huge, everyone has some IDOL who they want to be like, yes i want to be like him, try to copy him as much. If that makes me a NOVICE, i dont mind, it makes me happy.
Getting done with it, yeah maybe, but pretty soon, i seriously doubt that.
Anyways thanks for your time on my post.
All the best with your cricket
Cheers

@himanshuvohra Please pm the details. Would like to get a similar bat myself :)

@himanshuvohra - Very nice bat brother. I was also looking for an ST bat last year and checked with lot of batmakers but the prices were over priced. I ended up getting one made from RNS. Hope you score lot of runs with that beast.
