So I saw this the other day...
http://hundredpushups.com (http://hundredpushups.com)
I'm thinking about taking up the challenge and beginning it on Monday. Happy to post results etc. Do any other forum members fancy joining me and seeing if we as a group can complete the challenge?
Just a bit of off season competition and fitness work fun.

£9 for the book
It best give you a fecking 6 pack as soon as you open for that price, I can't see it will be a long book.
"Start with a few, increase the number gradually until you get to 100."
-
I downloaded an app a few weeks ago (yet to start) which does the same thing...free. for Push-ups, Crunches, Pull-ups and Squats.
Called 'Fitnesster'
Will! be testing it our this weekend.

Think they shot themselves in the foot by putting the entirety of the instructions on the front of the book.

If you click on 'The Program' it tells you what you need to do. No book needed and no cash to be spent. Just push ups and a plan.
-
Plan:
Step 1: Do push-ups
Step 2: See Step 1.
Think I'll just stick to being a fatty :D

Ha,
If it works for you then fair enough :)

Reading the plan it seems 6 full weeks off push ups 5 days a week.
Push ups work your chest and a little bit of your triceps. That's a lot of focus solely on one portion of your body.
If you grow just your chest, it will roll your shoulders round and cause other issues down the line.
You need to build your back muscles to even it out.
My advice follow a non fad type exercise program and work each part of your body equally each day(or over a week) if you want to get fit and remain healthy.

It was more for the challenge element I fancied doing it not necessarily for the fitness side of things.
When I read the plan I thought it was only 3 days a week.
It was just a suggestion for a bit of a fitness challenge nothing too serious :)

We've just signed a top quality coach to our cricket club. It seems he's fitness mad and will probably be beasting us.
My plan of wintering in front of the tv in my pants eating crisps might have to go on the back burner!

It'll be pointless if you keep bringing out the cake, ice cream and trifle selection at tea!! And make sure he's on holiday for Eaton Socan away!

I nominate @FattusCattus for this challenge!

If you want the challenge aspect , but with an allround workout , musclewise , and awesome cardio as a bonus , just free download the '7 minute workout ' app and do the 30 day challenge . Im almost 38 and now fitter than ever .

@Biggie Smalls which app is it? There's loads of 7 minute workout apps on app store

Mine is an android app , but i guess it'll be mostly the same collection on the app store .....
The best one , with the 30 day challenge , classic , legs , butt , abs workouts sections is : ' 7 minute workout' by Simple Design Ltd
The other one i thought was decent was : 'Seven- 7 minute workout' by Perigree AB .
These are free and I don't see the need to pay but the Simple Designs one has a pro version too .
Hope this helps .
