Title: Gray Nicholls fielding elbow protectors
Post by: Calzehbhoy on October 20, 2016, 07:52:29 PM
Just doing some windows shopping online trying to find some new Thigh Pads and came across the Gray Nicholls elbow pads. Has anybody used them, what are your thoughts for those that have?

Got some as soon as they came to the market last season.

Sledging aplenty from teammates and oppo alike, but if you've got a long sleeve shirt or jumper on it's fine.

Comfortable to wear, and do definitely save a grazed elbow or two for those madmen (Moi) who insist on fielding mid-off/cover on the edge of the square. Would much prefer shirt and trouser manufacturers to sew them into trousers and shirts like they do for the England lads as it is a little annoying to keep adjusting, but a decent compromise.

Not essential. But a must for a hardcore badger!

Haven't sold many of the ones we got into stock, like Goodleave said they are pretty specialist!

Great idea for slow bowlers. The amount of times Ive got bloody and grazed elbow diving about fielding ball smashed back at me bowling slow left arm

Couldn't you do that?

I find tubigrip does the job fine

Or if I forget those I roll my long sleeves up in the field so I have  3 layers of fabric between my elbows and the pitch

Brought some as soon as they came out as I tend to dive around comfy with a short sleeve shirt uncomfortable under a long sleeve one. Tended to go a bit loose around the wrist after ten matches

I barely trust myself to make a sandwich. You think I trust myself with needles!?

I was thinking about them for training when I tend to wear short sleeves. Unfortunately the weather has been so poor this year, hard ground wasn't an issue.
