Title: Help me collate old Slazenger V12, V100 & V500 bats.
Post by: BD on November 13, 2016, 03:39:22 AM: I've got a bit of a fetish with old Slazenger bats from 1982 through to the mid 1990's. I've recently been able to pick up a number of these vintage bats via Ebay and Gumtree recently.

I would appreciate anyone to chime in and post if you have any pictures or information (no matter how insignificant you think it might be) on the V12, V100 & V500 bats from this era. This will assist me to identify the different sticker and profile combinations through the years so I know what I need to complete my collection. Example: I know the V12 came in various types: i.e. V12 Clear Polyarmoured, V12 Polyarmoured (white), V12 Cleanskin/Untreated, V12 Colt, V12 County, V12 Panther etc but would like information on what were the differences between these bats and also RRP $$ at the time of release.

I have attached an old Slazenger ad from around 1989/90 to this thread. The V100 on the top left of this ad is listed as a V100 'Chunky'. Does anyone remember this particular bat and have any info on the design as to what the term 'Chunky' refers to? I'm assuming it may have been a thicker edged bat in comparison to most bats of that era.

Post by: sloggerroz on November 19, 2016, 09:59:07 AM: I had an old v12 county which was £70 back in 1989 roughly. It had a natural face whith perfect grains. Been looking on eBay for years for one, if you have any pics of any would love to see them.
