Given the awful state your test team is in....
What should the test team be? It's clear you're in need of an opening batsmen, 1 maybe 2 middle order batsmen, a wicket keeper and a genuine all-rounder

There is no one in shield cricket deserving of a call up. cricket Australia are reaping what they have sown. all these pampered under age superstars aren't transitioning in senior cricket. CA is over stacked with jobs for the boy's and high performance rubbish. Many people are disillusioned with not only results but the state of cricket in australia.
-
Shaun marsh is rubbish. Wade is horrible too. We're better off playing no keeper and just pass the gloves around every few overs. That way we could play an extra opening batsman. We probably need 8 or 9 guys in the team at least who are confident against the new ball.
-
Wade is awful.
Currently so is the rest of Aussies tail.
Wade with a quick 25 as the tail crumbles or Neville on 2 not out after the tail he gone?
Currently I'd go for the quick 25, but when Aussies get there act together a stayer may be better.
Who else you got? Ben dunk? Anyone else remotely interesting with a bat that can keep?

I'd prefer a keeper that can catch.

Marsh is averaging 67 from his last 5 innings and he's a fighter... I'll take Marsh thank you

Not giving any options though? Just shouting at others thoughts.

Whatever happened to Sam Whiteman?

I am happy with Nevill, he is the best around.
-
Tim Paine not good enough anymore??
-
How about:
Aaron Finch
Travis Head
Darren Lehmann
Jake Lehmann
Glen Maxwell
Michael Bevan
Sam Whiteman
Ian Harvey
Jason Gillespie
Mitchell Starc
Mick Cleary
-
Nevill needs to go. Lyon needs confidence.
Give Zampa a run. Gotta give the young guys a go and a long one at that. Look Steve Waugh, 27 odd innings before his first century. No one gets anywhere near that now.
-
I have changed my mind about our team for the next test numerous times in the last 24hrs , I think that's indicative of our plight.....either that or I'm already on the national selection committee but don't know it!
Anyway....
Cowan
Warner
Khawaja
Smith
S.Marsh
Wade
Maxwell
Okeefe
Starc
Hazlewood

Don't worry Aus, it's Cock's fault http://www.smh.com.au/sport/cricket/while-australia-destroy-themselves-england-destroy-the-game-20161113-gsocm4.html (http://www.smh.com.au/sport/cricket/while-australia-destroy-themselves-england-destroy-the-game-20161113-gsocm4.html)

This is amazing!! :o :( ;)
Reading the comments section is pure banter.

I thought Marsh brothers career ended when Rod Marsh retired :D Both are utterly useless for test cricket.
Also, why no one is sticking to Joe Burns. He is young and seems to have sound technique.
India did the same with K Rahul and he has matured every game he played. I feel Lyon is still the best spinner Aus got at the moment.
Burns
Warner
Khawaja
Smith
Voges
Finch
Wade
Starc
Hazlewood
Bird
Lyon
some (Finch, Wade etc) have been tried and have failed but if given enough games can be a good test players. Its a process will take time.

And yet I wonder how many more hits it's had than a well written reasonable article would have gotten, good journalism is rapidly on the decrease and it's not really surprising.

No idea who Malcolm Knox is but this is the biggest load of toilet I've read on line for a while. :)

Malcolm Knox? Hmmm, I think that replacing one of the letters with a B would be appropriate in his case!
-
Malcolm Bnox? I don't get it?

Can you take him to another country so he doesnt play for us?
Marsh is symptomatic of the current batting issues. 2 innings in perth and in both he gets out within 1 to 2 overs of a wicket falling. He is a walking batting collapse.

Zampa is a star. Lyon is not a match winner. He has proven to be ineffective on spin friendly putches. He is the modern day greg matthews.
-
Where is chris lynn?
-
Can't believe handscombe hasn't been mentioned all that much. And when he has he was put at number 7. The guys a gun and a level above jake lehmann

Poor argument...... So did every other batsmen :D

I'd be hoping that's not in batting order because Handscombe certainly isn't a number 7

He is in as the keeper batsman.
-
Keeper - Ryan Carters?
Middle order bat - Nic Maddinson?
Middle order bat and could send a few overs down- Hilton Cartwright?
-
This all feels a bit Atherton '93.
