Title: My GN Ultimate
Post by: SOULMAN1012 on December 05, 2016, 05:36:38 PM
Hi all

Received one of my new bats today from Jake the entry level GN Ultimate. 7 grains which run slightly from right to left but are straight and evenly spaced. firstly I'm very impressed with the size for the weight. The weight is 2.9 finished with 37mm edges and a full profile. I also from my limited knowledge think this may be UK made due to the S written on top of the handle and not handle sticker. Which if is the case is a real bonus.
Performance wise iv tapped up an old ball today for a little bat and playe a few drives into some packed cardboard boxes and ping is very good with a lovely solid sound.
Handle is oval and a decent size, iv found GN handles to be on the thin side for the late few years and I have needed to double grip them which I don't really like doing as my preferred set up is a single chevron grip and this is perfect on this bat.
Toe is also nice and thick at 23mm at the base of the bat.
Lovely mid profile and finally the stunning in my opinion simple and classic GN sticker set up of the classic range I think is some of the best out at the moment

Also thanks to Jake for knocking the bat in and also removing the standard fibre edge tape and applying a full scuff sheet and knocking in the bat.

Lovely bat for an entry level. GN bats this year seem to be much better.

Gutted this doesn't have retro graphics as per the Judge/ David Boon era

I'm guessing it's just the camera angle but that handle didn't look straight

I'd have purchased a custom LE if they had used the old graphics! Had a Harrow 750 Early '90's it was a gun
