So I've narrowed my match bats down to five next year............ and there all pretty chunky.
When these become ilegal I'll be up the creak!

Kook ghost, last seasons weight 2.12.5(not knocked in yet)
Kook extreme, just arrived from vitas 2.14(and is pingalicous)
H4l custom 3.1(needs knocking in as very soft at moment)
Affinty Persona, 2.14. Requested a bat that felt like my Warner, size no issue. It feels good and is big to boot.
Gray nicolls Warner with affinty stickers. 2.14. I couldn't get on With the ssh handle so Marcus replaced it with a standard short handle for me. Still has ridicolous ping! And feels better with a proper handle.
All bats are pretty well bowed! Before @InternalTraining asks.
-
Squad rotation policy throughout the season?
-
Really like the GN face!
-
The Ghost will need to go out on loan for sale at that feather weight! Crimicar awaits?
-
The Ghost needs to get to the gym and bulk up a little compared to the others!!!
-
Lovely collection! Those Kookaburras are big, I didn't think they made such big ones.
-
Love the look of that Kahuna, something I need in my life? Perhaps.
-
@northernboy1987 Warner will be generally use with affinty as its back up. Kook probably nets and wet weather. H4l for smashing bombs on slow slow wickets.
@jamferg it may get a game at crimicar...... but with me in the lms(hoping to play for ed idea side again next year)
@Calzehbhoy Ghost is only there as it's really is big for its weight and shouldn't compete but it does.
@InternalTraining kook coming up with some good bats these last few years, seem to have changed there thoughts.
@Sivlar13 get one, @Vitas Cricket will tell you this thing pings!!

Believe I'm popping in tomorrow morning so will have a look then! Is there a big difference between the Obscene and the Xtreme?

Similar sizes, two different price points
-
Now this is a collection that I can really appreciate!! Proper bats, proper weights!!! This is what the forum is about!!
-
I'm for some reason drawn towards a 2-10 pro performance
look mint old @smilley792
Combined with your mental hand speed you be blasting it miles mukka.
-
I reckon you can hit sixes from the edge. I wish I was strong enough to even wield one of these
-

@smilley792, lovely profile on all bats. The GN Warner bat has no edge stamp?

One wasn't great to start with, but they were sanded out during it's clean up.

To be fair unless you are fortunate enough to play on billard table outfields and well prepared batting tracks as opposed to under prepared council tracks with rabbit holes in the outfield anything WG Grace used to use dont cut the mustard.
So most of us if there is any advantage at all-take it :)
-
@smilley792 Great collection mate.. You should start a Big Bat Thread :D
-
That Warner of Chris is mental not seen one as big and that was a actual Warner
Pick up on that bay is special and it is truely a freak of nature.
Great bat
What's big about that Warner you serious pal it massive and picks up mental.
Just take people word for it that bat is special with no gimmicks just a monster

I couldn't agree more!!!!!!
People should see the ground conditions where we play!! Grass as high as 5 to 6. Inches. Slow outfields. Uneven fields. You name it. This whole light/little bat malarkey will work for pros with their manicured golf-course like fields but we clubbies need help! I will happily take it. Thank you! More please!

How much use is a high middle Aus monster in the UK when invariably the bounce is pretty low? Do these Aus GN's gain weight in the UK?
It hasnt gained weight.
I scored plenty of runs with it on slow low wickets. It drives the ball beautifully from down low on the blade.
The high wood placement just makes it pick up ridicolously well.
Despite being a front foot bully, I much prefer the weight higher up the blade these days.
-
If you used the cric tech sheets most on here would be surprised how high on the bat you hit the ball
I play on a low deck but don't use a low middle as I hit on top of the bounce
Great looking collection and nothing wrong with junk in the trunk
-
I agree. Our track is dead low, but some away tracks have good bounce. Also, just because the meat is a few inches higher doesn't mean the bat has nothing lower.
Try a bat with a high middle, then a mid middle and you may be surprised.
-
Just get an English made bat with a high middle. There's a fair choice out there
-
these bats look amazing certainly my kind of shape and weight.
i'll have to sort my collection for next season out and see how it compares
-
@smilley792 we'll gladly take your sloppy seconds if/when you tire of these ;)
