I brought this plain bat off Tom but it seems to be a fair bit smaller than the other Short Handle blades I have.
I attach a picture of the plain bat next to my custom made County and you can see clearly the size difference. it's the same difference against all 3 bats I have...

Maybe all your bats are Long blades? Youll have to speak with Tom.
-
I compaired it with 3 of my own bats pal and 4 that I am re-furbing atm too. Sent Tom a message but not had a reply so just thought I'd get other thoughts too...
Strange..........
-
Yehh it is a bit mate. One downside of buying bats blind over the internet i suppose.
-
Yer true mate - It didn't cost me the earth but even so it is a strange one. The bat is MASSIVE however and is 2.6 on the trusty Kitchen Scales
-
Yeh, it seemed the same length against that GM I had but maybe it is a little shorter. Perhaps we've found a new size!?
Seriously if the 1cm diff causes a prob send it back.
-
It shouldn't cause a problem mate but I'll use it at nets and let you know.
Like I said tho I'm not trying to be funny or anything so don't take it the worng way but I just find it really strange- haha!! How can the blade be shorter than every other 1....
Could this be the future..............
-
i like that clipper
-
is it the same overall length, handle to toe, as all other bats
-
i like that clipper
Cheers pal! Needs an oil, knocking in and Anti-scuff fitting then should be ready to fly :)

No about 1cm smaller....

Could be like an academy size?

Could be like an academy size?
:( hope not :(

Had many bats like this from the past, my educated guess is that the bats made in india ? Bas seem to do this as well. but the handle seems longer ?
-
It was made as a full size and is full width, obviously it has come up a little bit short for some reason. I didn't bother getting a tape measure out when I had it, so my fault.

Do I get full ref-fund if I send it back Tom unused??
-
As I said earlier today in the email yes. Sold it for less than I wanted anyway, so I'm more than happy to have it back.

It is just a typical Asian trick, shave a bit off the toe or edges to make the bat look bigger for the weight, nothing to worry about.

I don't agree with the statement that it an Asian trick. there are 1-2 companies in sub continent whose full size bats are not the same size as others. I have just measured some bats against newbery and GM bats and the sizes are OK.

Which companies in your experience Asad?

Which companies in your experience Asad?
do i have to name them here?
pm me and i'll tell u

I'm suprised more companies dont do it - take a couple milimetres of each side and all of a sudden you have a bat whose profile is instantly larger and lighter - i wouldnt have thought the couple mm lost to this process would make no real difference to the bats performance and to the person using it.
