I'm still after some new pads, but I just can't quite see anything I like in my £40-60 price range. They all seem so expensive this year!
I've spotted the new Phantom Armour pads which look really nice, the GN Predators are generally okay and the Kook Ghost Pros look good too- are there any other brands I'm missing? What do we think the best bang-for-the-buck pad is this year?
Tbh I think the Woodworm softs might be the best deal...

Don't think you can look past SS Test opener pads. Great set of top end pads that are probably in your price range.
-
I got GN Prestige pads and gloves for £80 in the pre Christmas sales. Pads will be in your budget even at normal price and are supposedly identical to the Legends bar perhaps being slightly less bright white. "Best" probably depends what you look for in pads but protection should be up there and they are less bulky and more comfortable than what I had before. Lots of pads in your price range from the forum sponsors (shops and bat makers)
I've tried the Prestiges on- nice pads but I kept getting my bat caught behind the top hat! I should really look for small men's I guess.
The Test Opener pads are supposed to be great, but I can only find them from OLS? :)

As Churchy said, DKP/eBay if you want uk. I got the pads & 2 pairs of SS Test Gloves from crowncricketer in India for £80 odd (including delivery).

My B&S pads are fantastic and I don't think you can look past puma pads either
-
The B&S ones are supremely comfortable! You cant go wrong on the price either!
-
From the bigger brands the new Gam 808 pads are top drawer and right in your budget, B&S pads are top drawer as well

I'm a big fan of my Hunts County Aura batting pads
They're technically now last year's model, and a quick Google search puts them at about £54

A huge number of great suggestions, thanks all!
I've had a couple of compelling offers through PM, and I'd never heard of DKP, so thank you! I wanted B&S pads for ages but they don't do small men's last time I checked.
I had some 808 LEs briefly last year- nice pads but way too small (in youths too)!

Some sg test pads have just gone into the sale section, they are great value pads (not mine!)
-
BAS Players, SG Test pads & SS Test pads.
Forget the rest....
-
Not sure which category they go in but the H4L custom or 50-50 pads I tried at Uzi sports this week were lovely (walked out with a pair of customs)

Cheers for the suggestions, guys, but this is an old thread. All resolved now! :)
