Hey All,
Bought a new bat last week. This is my first bat so I don't really have a benchmark to measure it against. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on it. The gentleman at the store told me that GN - Silver is equivalent to the English version of GN - Players. This one weighs around 2.6, however the stickers says 2.9 which is a bit weird and the edge is about 34mm.

Great profile on these. Your pics dont do it justice but no doubt a quality bat.

Looks a nice bat, welcome to the forum! It might be 2.6lb, which is approximately 2lb 9oz off the top of my head! Enjoy it, and may it be the start of a large collection. ;)

Do you guys recommend using sand paper to rough it up prior to oiling? Or is it an overkill?

Apparently, it is to remove the initial wood polish so that oil can soak in better.
