Title: Uxbridge CC Require players for 2017

Uxbridge CC are recruiting players of all standards for the 2017 season. We run 4 Saturday league sides (Middlesex County League) and a Sunday league (Chess Valley League) side along with a Sunday friendly XI. We have a very nice ground which is hosting 6 days of Middlesex CCC games this year on the main square.

Winter nets take place at Uxbridge College 7-9pm on Monday evenings. Anyone interested please email the cricket committee (cricket.committee@uxbridgesportsclub.co.uk).

Good club Uxbridge for anyone tempted by this post. Played there many times.

Legend has it back-in-the-day I was told by one of our older members - at Uxbridge (with the SA board limiting the amount of overs he could bowl) Jaques Kallis put in a spell which made his fast-medium tag the biggest understatement ever, and he bowled breathtakingly quick for 5 overs, quicker than anything ever seen at the ground.

So I have been told. I believe it as well, the main square is like concrete.

Thanks for the positive comment. Would have liked to see that spell. The ground is consistently ranked number 1 in the Middlesex county league umpire ratings.

Another claim to fame for the club was when Kevin O'Brien hit a 44 ball century and helped Gloucestershire to the highest domestic t20 score ever although I imagine someone has beaten this record by now?
