Got this Afinity just before Christmas. I have a very nice custom Carbine that I got off @Wickets-then-runs so thought I'd get another one made and Marcus and I decided on a Voodoo and Carbine Hybrid. This is the reason I didn't need to buy that TON bat, but some things just can't be helped haha. Bat specs are:
2lb9.4oz's
37mm ish edges
When I took it out of the box the handle felt weirdish in my hands. I took the grip down and to my surpirse there was only half binding on there, with 3M tape wrapped in a loading fashion. Marcus said this is because it allows the handle to flex a bit more and helps by not creating a single point of weakness in the shoulder (which can lead to shoulder cracks). He said it was no dramas if I wanted it fixed, which I will get done when I'm over there (assuming I still have it). In the meantime I just put a half chevron grip where it has no binding and it feels the same thickness now. It taps up with a ball nicely, a little firmer than the custom Carbine I have, but that one seemed to be soft pressed to me as it was a gun from the get go but did have issues with cracking.
The shape is not exactly what I had envisioned when I decided to get it made (Just wanted the middle a tad higher) and didn't feel exactly right in my hands, which caused me to list it on Gumtree and eBay. However, I pick it up every now and again and it is definitely growing on me, so I'm a little undecided if I'll remove it from there. In anycase, here are some photos:

I think the shape is great.

I don't have an issue with the shape in itself, just wanted the middle higher.

It looks like a beast to me especially considering the weight. I prefer bat with 8 to 10 grains and a bit of heart wood. I would personally stick with it for few nets and see how I feel.

I'm a little bit unsure about Affinity. I had one that was a complete plank and the ones I've read about or seen haven't really impressed me so far. I'm sure there are brilliant Affinity bats out there but I've yet to play with or against someone who has one.

I have one. My teammates love it too. I wouldn't hesitate in getting another in the future. Just goes to show that every maker has their off days I suppose.

Every brand can have a stinker, I suppose. I just haven't been blown away by anything I've seen from Affinity yet. I'm sure there are plenty of great Affinity bats out there being used.

The Carbine I have is incredible in every way to me, probably why I feel a little indifferent about this one.
