First test ongoing after some poor weather on day 1.
Good to once again see Sky Sports commitment to live sport and more specifically cricket with the game not being shown overnight here.
Surely it can't cost sky much if anything to show the game and would be better than the repeats they play 10-20 times a month??
-
I thought this. They usually have every NZ test on and now all of a sudden they're not showing it at all.
-
Sky continue to strip their coverage of cricket. so glad the BBL and aus matches have been on Bt sport
Back to the test, Nz have bowled poorly and bang have batted well. Good fight from bang.
-
Top partnership between Shakib and Mushfiqur, if one of them had lasted the day NZ could have been seriously hurting by lunch on day 3, as it stands they should wrap up the tail reasonably quickly, great innings by Bangladesh though if they get to 600 NZ will really be behind the 8 ball. Bangladesh really improved over the past couple of years, it's great for test match cricket that they can be competitive against most sides nowadays
-
Nice healthy total of 8/595 for Bangladesh.. NZ 1/55 at lunch
-
Just the start we needed - an early wicket and it's the big one of shakib. Hopefully knock them over before lunch and knock them off
Will be a bitter blow for Bang after scoring 595
-
So Bangladesh declare just shy of 600 and lose.
Is that the highest first innings total declared that lead to a loss?
-
Absolutely brilliant century by Kane Williamson.
Great to see the comradery between the sides, great sportsmanship as opposed to the incidents between Bangladesh and England.
-
Great win for NZ. Highest first innings score to lose a test match.
That blow to rahim was horrible: Hopefully he's okay!

In last 2 tests, NZ bowlers have been given pitch every pace bowler dreams of but they have been ineffective to say the least.
Gave 500+ in last test and even this test B'desh doing ok. Is it lack of skills?
-
Knocking them over for 289 on a green top is pretty poor. NZ bowlers look burnt out - They've played non-stop since the india tour and look like they need a rest.
Can't believe Southee and boult bowled 53 overs in the day
-
Agreed Boult and Southee look tired but just because it looks like a green top doesn't mean it will play like one.
For comparison Derby always looks like a green top on Day 1 but its flat (most of the time)! and come day 2 looks like it too.

If its green it does play like green, atleast on first day or so.
