Title: Chase "lynn attempt" 48mm-76mm spine naughty and a few others match bats
Post by: procricket on January 15, 2017, 05:25:03 PM
It was my birthday just after Christmas and my widfe knowing I love cricket decided to act apon a picture I saved on my computer.

I really liked Chris Lynn bat shape and the Halestorm and was tempted to buy the Australia but was not wiling to pay the 100 pound custom charges.

So my wife booked it in and asked if I wanted anything specific I always wanted/something different to what she got me for Christmas.

So she got me this

2/12
48/49mm
76mm spine

And yes it has added power I fancied something different

Used it i a net yesterday straight out of the packet goes well great pick up and feel for me high middle helps it

Nice work, Dan must be delighted to have you back nearby...
Not sure you will be able to use that in a match though!

I'd got myself a very similar shaped bat, just ever so slightly smaller dimensions by the looks of those pictures. Originally was  Romgear (Kippax made) 3,2 monster, it was huge but too heavy for me, so had some weight taken of by Jedi, left plenty of size in the middle of bat, no took plenty from shoulder and toe, and it came back look similar to this one. Looks lovely does that Dave, hell of a collection you have

Other one picks up better but I expected that because it is a smaller blade BUT NOT MUCH IN IT.

Truth is I don't really do collections I tend to move on what is not used.

Like to haave 3/4 on the go...

My tonto is up stairs in Prep mode and have a couple of others including a 46mm super edged B3..

Just let my BAS and a Raina shaped special go and got my super SS bat still to show.

Got more than enough I like to spread the love around using great batmakers

You would be right it was broken and had a SSH I got it fixed and GN refurbished it...

Really Delete repeated word good bat hard to beat it.

The issue is I have been very spoilt in my time by the likes of B3,Chase,SS now GN it hard to buy bats as good anywhere...

90 per cent of all bats are equal some are special I have a few special ones...

@DorsetDan its a tough one...

Any other sneaky GN's hiding anywhere? :)

All insane bats. Some are nearly as thick as they are wide!

No I couldn't afford a halestorm !!!!

However never say never but I think I'm done..

May trade a bat or two maybe for some small mens GN pads and Gloves...

I had a bat with this in the nets today, and I can say that I was totally amazed.  I normally bat with a 2.7, so my first thoughts were I was not even going to be able to pick it up of the ground.  How wrong could I be, the bat was really well balanced, the pick up was shocking, just so good.  In fact it was better than the 2.8 I was using at the time.  I am really tempted to buy one!!!

That's an insane weight! SS by far my favorite company. They've really upped their game in the last few years, a lot of quality bats coming from them and consistently.
But of course your guaranteed quality if your ordering direct from Jatin, Is that the Kohli profile?. Great collection mate!

No mate never been 2/10 at all I thought it was 2/8.

Not sure where you got that from Tom.

I know it was ordered 2/8 but never the weight you said...

Apparently it was 2/7.1 yesterday but I took the ceat stickers as stated.

used this bat on Saturday and its a keeper really good craftsmanship and I took a ounce out of it myself and felt really good.

Does the laminate increase performance I'm not sure it went well with not some much preparation and packs a punch.

its in the bag....
