Right folks, after advice for a mate. He's just coming back to the game after a 20 year lay-off and is looking for a decent bat. I've had a look about but wondered if anyone on here could chip in.
The budget is up to about £150.
We play in Scotland so mid-low middle probably.
He classes himself as a tail gunner/bowler so again, probably a mid-low.
So far, I've put forward a GN powerbow 5 4 star, a New Balance DC 580 and a Ton Power Blaster. All are around the £150 bracket.
Anyone got any other suggestions? Will probably purchase knocking in service too.

A kook surge, a red ink custom, maybe something from blank bats...
Lots of choice

if you ask for options on the forum you will be flooded with many as we all want everyone to own many bats ...lol
BB net bat is a good option

Hi @fzrkev
I'm sure we can sort something out for you in that price range.
We will have some new Jedi bats in over the next couple of weeks (ultimate grade or similar).
We also have a couple of nice lower price Red Inks in.
Have a look on our website and drop us a message if you want to chat about your options.
This is a nice one too which comes in under budget - http://www.thecricketboutique.co.uk/vulcan-imperial---original-grade-2lb-9-34oz-1343-p.asp (http://www.thecricketboutique.co.uk/vulcan-imperial---original-grade-2lb-9-34oz-1343-p.asp)

if you're after a low middle - Hell4Leather Hattori is a good option.

+1 for a bb net bat. Can't go wrong with bb.

Get the bat that feels right in the hands

Your gonna get a million and one suggestions, it's a shame you can't get to a decent shop to pick a few bats up.
Failing that, I'd get your mate to speak directly to a shop or batmaker and ask their opinion .
Your incredibly lucky with the sponsors on here, with the choice and knowledge of bats they have.
I'm sure all would be more than willing to help your friend with choosing a suitable bat or bats,(can't just have one?)

Check out the BDM Dynamic range I think they're with in that price range, fantastic value for money! You can even contact Aditya Mahajan directly on facebook and he can sort you out
