Below is what the thread originally was but, converting it to my net vids thread.
Got wind a few forum members were heading to hunts and then vitas after. @WalkingWicket37 , @simonmay5 and Bruce(fattus).
Decided I'd try and join them, didn't think i'd make hunts so aimed for vitas at two.
Bruce did not arrive(was working I think they said), but nice to see Simon and jake again, and to finally meet cam.
Checked out various bats, talked kit, cricket, forum and then watched Simon attempt to by everything in the shop.
So me and cam hit the net(Simon declined a net due to recovery)
Simon did give me his lovely fifty50 to use. But it's extreme light weight and thin handle meant I wasn't at my most comfortable.
Don't get me wrong the bat is nice and it goes from the middle, I just find when I toe one with my bats I don't really feel it, with so lighter bat can be jarring through my hands.
With my heavy kook in hand I felt much more comfortable.
Below is a video of said net, don't watch if you want to see anything of merit. It's a bowling machine, cam fed me half volleys and I manicly tried to smash everything. All fun.

Next up was cam. First up he used his hunts, had a crack with my H4l custom pro(I big heavy piece he handled well.....) and the. He to had a crack with simons fifty 50.
Watch out for first ball as cam middles it not his stumps......

Time was moving on and a had a two our journey back for my club nets(arrived with 4mins to spare). So unfortuantely didn't get to film jake of @Vitas Cricket fame having a bat.
But big thanks for jake for the hospitality, always a pleasure, and my favourite shop.
I'll leave cam and Simon to show your there many purchases.
Also have another net video, found this on a memory card when checking for space for this trip.
It's from middle of last summer, it's the first time I used my gray nics Warner rep in a net. Bowling is various with a side arm thrown in, so unfortunately for me, not just half volleys(my speciality)

Gonna convert this thread to put all my net vids in at some point.
But for now.
Many are accused of putting bowling machines on half volleys. And swinging. Well this was an actual bowler, and hento fed me a nice half volley.

Full net soon, but that really is the highlight.........
got to say this kahuna extreme is ridicolous!! I may ahve to buy another as back up.
-
And sell me the warner?

And sell me the warner?
Never!! Lol
Warner is match bat this is my back up, but I won't buy another Warner but a kahuna is easier to get hold off.

:(
Cracking shot by the way mate!

Full net here. Facing a leg spinner and some medium pace, our club nets the spin gets some serious bounce, pace bowlers get a bit and it's quick, but nowhere near that of the inside places.

So Someone decided an outdoor winter net would be a good idea, So on a dry day we rocked up to the club in -1 degree C heat and cracked on. It was awful........ cricket is for summer.

Hmmmm 0:51 in, wheres the pull shot mate!??;)

About as good as it gets in the net, they come a lot slower in the middle at my level. Lol

I quite like the helmet cam angle, but it would be nice (if it's not too much of a faff) if we could see what you were doing from the other end at the same time.
Would 2 cameras and 2 windows of footage be too much of an effort for a few CBF viewers? :-[

I have two go pros, it's more dealing with the hassle. Only reason I did it previously(simmy cbf video) was because one was simmys footage and one mine.
I like last years stumpers helmet videos as it shows a lot and at a good angle, butnour new nets are that hot(swimming pool is behind the wall to the right). He's refusing to stump.

So this happened st Sunday's net!

How much is an iPhone screen these days? :D

How did you crack the screen? Surely it would have hit the back of the phone

Was streaming via Facebook love that went out via the front camera(and why I'm right handed but look left handed)
So yeah it hit the screen unfortunately. Off all the places I could have hit it!

Never used it but surely facebook live works on both cameras?

First time I've used it, it started broadcasting of front so left it, was easy to ensure it faced right direction to, being lent on the stumps.
Not sure I'll be doing it again. Lol

Beautiful net facilities are those, very lucky

Cheers. Lucky for the ones who get to use them. But many at the club put a lot of hardwork into ensuring we got them. -and rest of us are thankful.
If I still had a set of keys, id do a forum met up there.
